Hi peeps!
I rarely totally scraplift layouts. I often see layouts I like and sometimes take inspiration from an element on them but don't very often copy the layout completely. But I have an exception to share today. I saw this amazing layout by Steph Devlin in the March 2012 edition of Kaisercraft's Workshop magazine and totally fell in love with it. As soon as I saw it I new I had to recreate it.
Gorgeous isn't it!
I didn't have exactly the same supplies but I had a few of them and other things that I could use as substitutes and here is what I came up with:
I think I did quite a good job! The butterflies are punched rather than the die cut 'Collectables' and I cut out some different sized flowers from one of the coordinating patterned papers in the collection. I also didn't have any rub-ons so I improvised with a die cut swirl flourish, and added my own title using Thickers.
I also had a Kaisercraft background stamp that isn't specifically part of this collection but goes really really well, so I stamped that in the bottom right corner to add a bit more detail given that I couldn't add all the die cuts.
I was super-duper pleased with the way this layout turned out and a big thank you to Steph Devlin who created it in the first place and for giving me such a beautiful layout to scraplift.
ooh that is very sophisticated and gorgeous! x
