Layout to Share - You are my Sunshine

Sunday 1 July 2012

Morning all! I'm off on a photography class today with Kirsty Wiseman!! To say I am excited is an understatement. I bought my fancy DSLR camera about a year ago now but have never managed to get it off the automatic setting, so Kirsty is going to show me how to get great photos today in manual mode - OMG!

Anyway before I pop off for that, I have a layout to share with you today. I made this one for this week's challenge over at UK Scrappers

The layout had to:
1. Feature weather in some way
2. Use bright zesty zingy colours
3. Tell a story in photos or journalling either looking back over the last 6 month or looking forward over the next 6 months.

Here's what I came up with:

I think I certainly managed the zesty and zingy colours - I picked the brightest papers I could find!

and here are my 'weather' embellishments: I actually covered chipboard for this layout and I hardly ever do that!

I used up some green wired trim which went really well with the photos and papers and also added some Amy Tangerine fabric brads which also went perfectly.

And here is my journalling, telling the story of my little girl who was born premature but is now a perfect, healthy and happy little thing and who truly is my sunshine. These are tucked under the photo.

I think I fulfilled the challenge requirements, don't you?! Now I'm off to learn how to take better photos - have a fabulous day everyone xx
