Hiya! I’m
back with a new layout for Lottie Loves Paper using Paige Evans Bungalow Lane
collection! I have really enjoyed playing with this collection and have made so
much with it!
For this
layout I decided to use a sketch that was up a few weeks ago on the Lottie
Loves Paper Community Group. For the starburst in the background I decided to
use the stars paper from Bungalow Lane and create my starburst from patterned
paper. I found the middle of the paper, drew lines from the middle to the
outside and cut out the pieces. I distressed all the edges and stuck these back
together onto a sheet of white card.
For the
middle strips I used strips from the swatches paper. I love these papers from
Paige’s collections. I cut a strip, keeping the swatches intact and positioned
these like the photo strips on the sketch.
I created
my title using the Bungalow Lane Thickers which I mounted first onto a piece of
white cardstock. I also stitched through the letters using gold thread on my
sewing machine.
I embellished
either side of the photos with a variety of embellishments. I used chipboard,
foam Phrase Thickers, crepe paper leaves, stickers from the sticker book and
epoxy stickers. I finished off with some splatters of white paint.
Thanks so
much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed this layout.
Hey
everyone! Here are a few December Album base pages using Simple Stories Make it
Merry collection. My December Album this year is a mixture of both this
collection and the Holly Days collection but today I’m focusing just on Make it
Merry.
I’m keeping
my album more simple this year. Last year I made it rather complicated, and
whilst I love what I created, the overall project wasn’t as enjoyable as past
years as I spend so much time on every page. So this year is stripped back and
is much more simple and has been far more enjoyable which is ultimately what
makes me happy.
For Days 21
and 22 I have focused on red as my main colour. Day 21 is a white card base
with four square photo mounts from the red gingham print from the Make it Merry
6x8 Paper Pad. I distressed the edges of each and stitched with white machine stitching.
They are all in a strip on the right side of the page. These could hold four
photos, or less, depending on what photos I take that day. I could easily also
turn those into journaling spots too. This allows me to have some flexibility.
On the left side of the page I’ve created a little cluster with two poinsettias
from the Make it Merry Bits & Pieces, and my number which is a sticker from
the Make it Merry Sticker Book on a glittery punched circle. I’ve added Decorative
Brads and some Enamel Dots.
Day 22 is a
red patterned paper background and I’ve created a block at the top for two
photos and a journaling card from the Bits & Pieces pack. Underneath the
block I’ve punched circles from one of the Make It Merry papers and my number.
I also added a few stickers from the Cardstock Stickers and Enamel Dots.
For Day 23
I decided to make a hanging sign out of my photo for that day, inspired by the hanging
sign icon in the Make It Merry collection. I often look to the icons in the
collection I’m using for inspiration and this was one of those times! Currently
I have a white photo placeholder with woodgrain strips of paper top and bottom.
I’ve added some white cord around a Decorative Brad for the hanging. At the bottom
of the sign I added my number together with a few Bits & Pieces.
Day 24 is
super simple. The black background is an insert that came with the Make it
Merry album. I’ve added a full sized photo placeholder to the background.
Across the bottom I cut a strip of Make it Merry paper and machine stitched it
to the bottom with zig zag stitch. This creates a fold down section. I
decorated the front with my number, Decorative Brads and ‘falala’ stickers from
the Foam Stickers. Inside the fold down section I plan to add some journaling
and maybe some further embellishments.
Day 25 is
Christmas Day so is a double spread. The left side is the back of the insert
used for Day 24, and is lime green. I’ve added a full sized photo placeholder
to this page together with a small embellishment cluster made from Bits &
Pieces and a foam arrow. This is tacked into place for now and can be moved
around when the photo is in place.
The right
side of Day 25 is a white background with a piece of lime green Make it Merry
on the right side. I machine stitched around the outside edge of this page which
created a vertical pocket. I embellished the outside of the pocket with ‘Good
Cheer’ foam sticker and the large 25 number from the Make it Merry Number Bits
pack. Inside the pocket I’ve put in the Very Merry Memories Insert from the
Make it Merry album, and I’ve also created a little mini album too. The mini
album is made from the 3x4 Elements paper and is folded and stuck together to
make a 3”x4” booklet. I can add photos from Christmas Day in here and journaling
and of course more embellishments!
For Day 26
I have used a cut file of stacked gifts which I have backed with different Make
it Merry papers. I’ve kept this page very simple, with the cut file on the left
side and ‘JOY’ from the Foam Stickers down on the bottom right. I’ve only added
my number, a few Cardstock Stickers and some Decorative Brads for decoration
but I can always add more after I have my photos printed and added.
So that’s
it for today! Check back next month for more December Album pages made with
Holly Days next time! I have you have enjoyed seeing this process, I can’t wait
for December to begin now!
Hey
everyone, I have a new layout to share today for Hip Kit Club using the October
2021 Kits. You can find the October kits on the Hip Kit Club website here: https://www.hipkitclub.net/october-2021
and I’m also playing along with this week’s challenge which is a color
challenge: red, turquoise, white and dark navy.
I have used
the triangle paper from the October kits to create a background feature. I cut
it into triangles and then cut them in half so they were smaller. I layered
these, then arranged them to form a square shape. I distressed all the edges
and added stitching down the middle. I stuck this in the middle of a white
background.
I added my
photo together with lots and lots of beautiful exclusive ephemera, mostly leaves
and a tree. I added a tag behind my photo together with ribbon and twine.
I used a
chipboard word for my title and added a subtitle down the right side of the
square. I finished with splatters of white paint over the embellishment
clusters.
Thanks so
much for joining me today and happy scrapping

and I’m also playing along with this week’s challenge which is a recipe
challenge: leaves, Mixed Media and buttons.
I started
off using the stencil that was in the October Color Kit and inking some orange
ink through it to create leaves on my background.
I created a
border with golden paper behind my layout and on the top right corner. I used
border punches too.
I cut my
photo to a circle shape, and a Pocket Life card too. I then arranged these
together with lots of floral ephemera, some large fussy cut flowers and lots of
leaves. I added a chipboard title, added those beautiful wood veneer golden
leaves and splattered with white paint.
I finished off
with beautiful Nuvo Drops around my photos and dotted amongst the ephemera.

Hey
everyone! I have a new mini album to share today for Lottie Loves Paper using
the gorgeous Bungalow Lane collection by Paige Evans. I’ve also used a
sunflower cut file that was a freebie from Paige’s Facebook group a few months
ago.
I cut the
cut file four times from gold cardstock. I cut backing pieces too from the
yellow prints from the Bungalow Lane collection. I cut these twice – mirrored so
that I could stick them back-to-back to have pages with the same print on each
side. I then added the sunflower cut file in gold, to the front side of each
page. The result is super pretty.
I also created
via my Silhouette software, a strip of four circles welded together. I cut one
from each of the same papers I’d used for the pages. I was then able to
concertina fold these to form additional spaces to hold my photos which I cut
to circle shapes using metal dies.
On the reverse
of each page I added the concertina folded circles and my photos. I added a
closure to each using a simple system of a punched circle, brad and twine. This
is super simple and very easy and effective.
I cut an additional
page from the beautiful Speciality Acetate. I drew around an existing page and
hand cut. I punched a hole in every page and threaded them onto a book ring. I
added two of the Bungalow Lane enamel charms too, directly to the book ring. I
added one to the front, and one a few pages in.
I decorated
each page with chipboard stickers, Foam Phrase Thickers, layered flowers, epoxy
stickers and small stickers from the sticker book. I also added a few of the
little embossed stickers.
Inside the
concertina folded circles are all my photos together with journaling panels
too.
Thank you
very much for joining me today and happy scrapping!
Hi
everyone! Here is my latest layout for Bella Blvd using the brand new Let Us
Adore Him collection. I am playing along with the sketch challenge this week.
I decided
to choose four patterns from the Let us Adore Him collection to form the block
background. I liked the red and green prints and also that pink background with
green holly leaves is adorable. I cut the strips to 2” x 8” and distressed the
edges. I also stitched around each one on my sewing machine.
I mounted
my photo on one of the journaling cards from the cut apart sheet. I added it to
the left side of the layout, as per the sketch. I then added lots of flowers around
the photo…ephemera and chipboard.
To the right of my photo I added my title, made up of the acrylic word ‘Christmas’
and ‘eve’ made with stickers. I stuck the alphabet stickers onto white card
first and trimmed around them so they would show against the red patterns on
the background.
I then
embellished the layout using different products. I attempted to embellish colour-on-colour
so that I had green embellishments on the green section – I like the way this
technique makes the layout flow.
The sketch
has some stitching around the the colour block. Instead of doing this I
handwrote my journaling around the edge instead.
I finished
off with some white splatters.
Thanks so
much for joining me today and happy scrapping
Hey
everyone! Here is a new layout for Hip Kit Club using the October 2021 Kits. You
can find the October Kits on the Hip Kit Club website here: https://www.hipkitclub.net/october-2021
I am
focusing on items from the Color Kit today and the diamond chipboard frames. I started
off with that amazing paper from the October kit – the one with the faux mixed
media, how cool is that! I then added to the mixed media effect by using the
leaf stencil from the October Color Kit and applied orange and peach ink to
create pretty leaves over the paint effect. I then sprayed the whole background
with the Nuvo Mica Mist in Pecan Peach and added large drops of the same. I
dried this with a heat tool and also heated the other side of the paper to
counteract the warping.
I added
three photos, all mounted on Pocket Life journaling cards and I added lots of
the diamond frames. I love how these nest. I layered them inside each other in
a vertical formation.
I then
added lots of beautiful ephemera, mostly leaves and flowers and some pumpkins
too. I curled the leaves for dimension. I also added some of the pretty wood
veneer leaves that have gold detailing. For my title I used one of the
chipboard phrases ‘Autumn’.
I finished
off with beautiful Nuvo Crystal Drops in Auburn Pearl from the October Color Kit
which I dotted al l over the layout and I also added a few splatters of white
paint.
Thank you so much for watching and happy scrapping
Hey
everyone! Here is a new layout for Lottie Loves Paper using the beautiful
Bungalow Lane collection by Paige Evans. I am also playing along with this week’s
Sketch challenge which you can join in with over on the Lottie Loves Paper
Community Facebook Group.
I started off
by cutting a large circle aperture from a patterned paper. Initially I was
aiming for a pink and orange colour scheme but when I flipped the paper over I
just fell in love with the blue! So that became my background. I handcut the
circle after drawing it first with a compass.
I mounted
my two photos and added them to the bottom right of the page and I had lots of
pink fussy cut flowers from another Bungalow Lane paper which I arranged around
the photos.
I made a
cluster at the top with two squares from the swatches paper. I added Bramble
Fox Pumpkins and the Pumpkin Patch sign. I also embellished with Bungalow Lane
Chipboard, Cardstock Stickers and two of those beautiful crepe paper leaves. I
also added some stickers from the sticker book.
For my
title I used the Bungalow Lane alphabet Thickers. I mounted these first onto pink
card and cut them out leaving a narrow border. This was to help them stand out
against all the details behind them.
I finished
off with some journaling…different questions that were asked when doing the
very serious job of selecting the perfect pumpkin! I also added a few white
splatters.
Thanks so
much for joining me today and I hope you enjoy this week’s sketch
