Hey everyone, here’s another layout using the gorgeous Deck
the Halls collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. For this layout I cut a circle from that beautiful dark
green check print paper which I added to the middle of my layout. I then
created a really large floral cluster on the right – I used lots of fussy cut
florals and also lots of Floral Ephemera and leaves.
I added a gold title curved around the circle which I then
stitched in place with my sewing machine. I added a few more Ephemera pieces to
the layout, some phrase stickers from the Accessory Stickers and finished off
with journaling and splatters of gold paint!
I had great fun making this wintery layout using the Snow
Pine Lodge collection by Simple Stories! I used a series of photos which I
arranged in a grid design and then added loads of gorgeous flowers and
Christmas icons too!
Here is another layout using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Yuletide. For this layout I choose four different coloured papers and
cut them into 2” strips. I distressed the edges and positioned them onto a
white background. I then trimmed the offcuts down slightly and hand-drew the letters
NOEL. I cut them out, drew a narrow black border around the to make them stand
out, then layered them colour-on-colour back onto the strips, raised up on foam
pads of course! I love how this technique turned out, it is so effective!
I added my photo, tucked into one of the strips. I then
added three areas of embellishments using mostly Floral Bits.
To each cluster I added flowers, Chipboard pieces, Chipboard
Stars and I also added Decorative Brads. I love all the different textures on
this layout!
I finished off with a few lines of journaling and then added
a few splatters of black paint to add a bit of contrast to the layout.
This layout has turned out so well, I love the effect of the
letters on top of the coloured strips, so simple yet so effective!

Hi everyone, here is a layout for Simple Stories using the
lovely Simple Vintage Yuletide collection. This collection is very traditional with
classic vintage imagery and is simply wonderful to work with.
For this layout, I choose two of my favourite papers, a red
polka dot and a cream, red and green check print. I cut these into squares,
about 3½” each. I distressed the edges of each and arranged them onto a white
background.
I placed my photo on one of the grid intersections which I mounted
first with green paper. I then tucked in lots of Floral Ephemera and Chipboard
Stickers. I created a large cluster around the photo and then went on to make
two more clusters: one at the bottom that was linked to my title and a smaller
one at the top to balance out the layout.
For my title I used large word ‘Santa’ and ‘I’ve been good’
phrase – super cute! I added lots of other words and phrases to the layout,
some from the Foam Stickers, and some from the Bits & Pieces packs: ‘naughty
or nice’, ‘filled with wonder’, ‘the big guy’, ‘tis the season’ and more! There
are always such wonderful words and phrases in Simple Stories collections!
I also added some small stars, and some Decorative Brads
before finishing off with my handwritten journaling and a few splatters of
black paint. I love how it turned out and it’s wonderful to have captured this
beautiful memory – Santa came to visit us at our house at 6pm on Christmas Eve
before setting out on his rounds! What a lucky boy!

Hey everyone! Here is a new layout for Cocoa Vanilla Studio
using the absolutely gorgeous Deck the Halls collection! For this layout I’ve used
the ornaments from the Speciality Paper which is covered in gold foiled designs!
I fussy cut lots of those and also picked out colourful ornaments from the
Ephemera and the Chipboard Stickers too.
I cut my photo into a circle shape and then arranged this
and all the ornaments onto the layout. I added long stitched strings from the
top of each layout to each ornament to make them look like they were hanging
from the top edge.
I added a few small embellishments, including small flowers
and leaves, plus lots of little Puffy Stars. For my title I used the Chipboard
Stickers ‘Merry & Bright’. I finished off with journaling and splatters of
gold paint!
Here is my take on this month’s For the Love of Pretty Paper sketch – those trees caused
me a few issues! I cut out large triangles to represent the trees and then tried
to create a little village scene using all the cute houses and shops from the
Santa’s Village collection! I love how it turned out!
