Adore This | Cocoa Vanilla Studio | Bloom & Grow

 

Hey everyone! Here is a new layout using the beautiful Bloom & Grow collection. For this layout I decided to go for a large piece of patterned paper for the top half of my layout, with a white section at the bottom to create a large floral cluster.

I used lots of fussy cut flowers, mostly the edge pieces, from the floral patterned paper, and also added in lots of Floral Ephemera. I also fussy cut some of the beautiful gold foiled flowers from the Speciality sheet.

I heat embossed my title with gold embossing powder and one of the raw chipboard titles. I added this across my photo and the border strip I used at the join.

I cut an Ephemera Frame in half and positioned this either side of my photo. I then added small embellishments around the photo: a few small hearts, some phrase stickers from the Accessory Stickers and an ephemera banner that says ‘stay wild’.

I then finished off with a few of the enamel hearts, some gold foiled fussy cut butterflies and some splatters of gold paint! I love how it turned out.

Hello Fall | Simple Stories | Cider & Donuts

 

Hey everyone! Here is a new layout for Simple Stories using the wonderful Cider & Donuts collection! Autumn collections have my heart! For this layout I used three photos in a line, two titles from the Foam Stickers and LOADS of rub-ons!

Spooky | Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Scary Stories

 

Here is another layout using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Scary Stories!  I started with a sheet of black cardstock and I added gold splatters all over the background. Once dry, I cut a photo into a circle shape and then I went circle crazy! I picked out all the circular embellishments from the Bits & Pieces, the Journal Bits, and the Cardstock Stickers! I layered the circles all around the photo. I raised some on foam pads, stuck some flat, overlapped them until I had a large centralised circle design!

I added Decorative Brads and Enamel dots to the middle of lots of the circles. I wanted them to have lots of dimension and different textures!

I added some words from the Sentiment Bits to the layout: faBoolous, Ghostly, Spooky and Spooktacular! I love Halloween words!! I raised these on foam pads. I also added a few phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers and several stars too.

I finished off by handwriting my journaling around the edge of the circular photo. I absolutely love how this one turned out, it was so fun to make!

October 31 | Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Scary Stories

 

Hey everyone! Here is a new layout for Simple Stories using the faBOOlous Simple Vintage Scary Stories collection! I love Halloween collections, they are always so cute and fun!

I’ve used a large photo which is 4”x8” – quite a different size to what I’m used to using and I admit I did struggle to figure out a design that worked with it! I used black cardstock as my layout background and added a wide strip of orange cross-hatch paper. I paired this with two other patterns, a small polka dot and a black large circle print. I just used narrow strips of these additional two patterns on the right of the large orange block.

Over on the other side I used one of the chipboard frames as a layer. My photo was the wrong size to fit inside it, but I often use the frames as layers anyway so this worked well here.

For my title I used the October 31 title from the Foam Stickers. I also used lots of foam stars from the same pack.

I embellished the layouts with bats from the Bits & Pieces, and those cute ghosts too! I also used a few spiders, the Happy Haunting bunting and several Decorative Brads. 

I always enjoy using the phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers and used a few on this layout ‘spooky’ and ‘toil & trouble’.  I handwrote my journaling to the right of the photo and finished off with a few splatters of gold paint and Enamel Dots!

Hello Parrots | Cocoa Vanilla Studio | Bloom & Grow

 

Hey everyone, here is a new layout for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the beautiful Bloom & Grow collection.

I had a large photo to use – my nemesis photo size 6”x8”!  I always really struggle with this size but all theme park and school photos seem to be that size! This one was from a family day out to a zoo. I trimmed it down to 6” x 71/4” which made it slightly easier to use.
I cut a piece of that gorgeous striped paper to the same width and then cut apart all the stripes and distressed the edges to create a feature for the middle of my layout. My photo sat on top of that.

I then added lots of florals: some fussy cut from the flower sheet of paper, and some from the Floral Ephemera. I created two clusters, one at the top left of my photo and one at the bottom right of the photo.

For the title I used one of the Raw Chipboard Titles and heat embossed it with a gold glitter embossing powder. I also did some of the hearts from the same sheet. I used the Mini Puffy Alphabet stickers to form the remainder of my title.

I added lots of gorgeous Ephemera, including birds and birdhouses as they went so well with my photo! I also added gold Puffy Hearts Accessory Stickers and some fussy cut florals from the Specialty Paper. I finished off with handwritten journaling and splatters of gold paint!

Boo! For the Love of Pretty Paper Sketch | Simple Stories Simple Vintage Scary Stories

 

Hey everyone! Here's my take on this month's For the Love of Pretty Paper sketch. I stuck fairly close to the sketch, although my photos are a bit different and I've added extra embellishments of course! I love Halloween scrapbooking, but it's not for everyone so the spiderwebs could be swapped out for anything else of your choice! 

I've used the new Simple Stories Simple Vintage Scary Stories collection for my layout.  I hope you like it!

Crafty Cocktails | GoGo Getaway | Simple Stories Crafty Things

 

Here is a layout I made for a recent GoGo Getaway Cybercrop Challenge, which was to use an enlargement photo. My photo is 6" x 12" - so pretty big! I love using large photos, they make such an impact! I've used the Crafty Things collection by Simple Stories
