Hey everyone! Today I’m participating in the Best of 30 Days
of Sketches! I’ve used a sketch by Suzanna Lee which is totally fabulous!
I’ve used Simple Stories Full Bloom collection and scrapped
some Easter photos. I followed the sketch pretty closely. I went for a white
background and choose lots of different colours and patterns for the flags. I
added my photos in a row, my title at the bottom and added lots of embellishment,
including a Bramble Fox Perspextive arrow.
Thanks so much for joining me today and be sure to check out
the rest of The Best of 30 Days of Sketches!
Happy scrapping
Hello everyone! Here is a new layout for GoGo Getaway, playing
along with the June Cybercrop Colour Challenge! The colours were zingy and
zesty and Simple Stories Simple Vintage Lemon Twist was perfect!
I loved the gingham in the colour swatches so totally
focused on that for my background! I trimmed it down a little and stuck it, at
an angle, onto a black sheet of paper.
I used a chipboard frame for my photo and created a giant
cluster on the left with a smaller one on the right to balance it out. I added ‘Zesty’
for a title and finished off with splatters of white paint!
I hope you enjoyed this layout and the colour challenge too.
Play along next month in the GoGo Getaway FB group on Saturday 16th July!
Hey everyone! I'm delighted to be guest designing for Bramble Fox today using some of their fun Platinum Jubilee designs. I've used the Keep Calm and Carry On title as the First Class postage stamp.
I used a flag from a recent Jubilee Celebration and cut off the stick. I trimmed it down a little and distressed the edges I drew around it onto the background then added red and navy Distress Oxide inks to extent the colours of the flag. I added a few splatters of white paint to the flag too. I positioned the Keep Calm and Carry On title right in the middle of the flag.
I then added my photos and lots of little embellishments. I used the Simple Stories Fireworks & Freedom collection as well as America the Beautiful. These are obviously 4th July themed collections, but I made them work for me by carefully choosing what bits I used! I added the First Class Postage stamp in the middle of my photos and added a few sequins too.
I love how this turned out, we had such fun when the Queen came to visit our scrapbooking retreat!
Happy scrapping

Hi everyone! I have a new layout to share for Simple Stories,
using the adorable new Let’s Go! Collection! This collection is travel themed
and has the best colours!
I used the 6x8 paper pad to cut little 2” squares, I cut these
in half to make triangles and then folded them into the cutest little paper
aeroplanes! I attached the planes to a white background and stitched ‘trails’ with
my sewing machine.
I made a big cluster with two photos, a journal card, a tag
and lots of embellishments. I added the Foam Phrase stickers as my title and
also added other fun words to the background.
Thank you so much for joining me today and happy scrapping!
Hi everyone, here is a new layout using Pinkfresh Studio
Happy Heart. I love the water colour style floral print in this collection and
wasn’t sure what to do with an entire sheet – perhaps I could have fussy cut
all of those beautiful flowers, but instead of that I decided to make a feature
out of the paper. I love the pastel rainbow of colours featured in this paper and am going to play along with the Pinkfresh Studio June challenge too.
I started off by fuss cutting around the flowers to make a
border. I deliberately made it uneven so I had the highest point in the middle.
This was where I positioned my photo. Before sticking, I added matching colours
of ink under the flowers.
I created one big cluster around my photo where I used Floral
Ephemera, Puffy Stickers, Chipboard Frames, Bramble Fox Perspextives, and
Enamel Dots. I used one of the Phrase Ephemera pieces for my title.
I finished off with splatters of white paint. I love that
paper so much and I’m so glad I used a large amount of it on this layout!
Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
Hi everyone! I had so much fun making this layout! I’ve used
No Limits by Cocoa Vanilla Studio and I started with a white background and a
stencil. I created a starburst using the stencil and two inks. The stencil is
by Bramble Fox.
I added several layered circles of patterned paper to the
left side and then added my photo, but underneath the photo I used some
coloured paper straws – I love how they look! They are quite bulky so I had to
build up the embellishment layers either side of them so I had something to
attach my photo too!
I then added lots of chipboard stickers, fussy cut stars,
Bramble Fox Perspextives, wooden buttons and sequins to the layout…a bit of an
explosion really! I also finished off with lots of black paint splatters.
This was such a fun layout to make, which goes well with
that super silly photo! Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
Hello everyone, here is another layout made for Simple
Stories using Simple Vintage Lemon Twist. For this layout I was actually
inspired by a friend who was sat next to me at the time. We were scrapbooking
together and she had cut her paper into two pieces and had them stuck to each
side of her layout with a gap in the middle. For some reason this just sparked
creativity for me and after asking her permission to do the same, I was off! I
love it when inspiration just strikes like that!
I choose one of the beautiful yellow papers from the Simple
Vintage Lemon Twist collection to feature on my background. I trimmed it down
and cut it up so I was left with two pieces of equal height but different
widths. I positioned them either side of the white card background. I added zig
zag machine stitching to the black lines on the paper.
I added my photo to one of the Chipboard Frames and added a
cute journaling card to the other aperture. I positioned this onto my layout
and the build a large cluster to the left side. I used Floral Bits, Bits &
Pieces, as well as Foam Stickers and stickers from the Cardstock Stickers.
I used the Foam Sticker title ‘sweetest’ for my title which
I stuck to the bottom of the frame.
I felt the layout needed something to balance out the large
cluster on the other side, so I used a card cut from the Journal Elements paper
as the base, and then added Foam Stickers, Chipboard Stickers and Floral Bits
there too.
I added several of the small hearts from the Foam Stickers,
a few Decorative Brads and some label stickers. I finished off with a few
splatters of black paint.
Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you have
enjoyed my Simple Vintage Lemon Twist layouts!
Hi everyone, here is a new layout for Simple Stories using the
beautiful Simple Vintage Lemon Twist collection. This collection has been
re-released because it was so popular last year! I’m very happy to see it again
and I loved it then and I think I love it even more now!
For my first layout I chose to use a white background. I cut
apart all the elements on the Journal Elements paper. I love these papers and
the Journal Elements one is often my favourite as the cards are all different
sizes with a mixture of patterns and journaling spots. I thought I would
feature these cards on this layout.
I laid down a large strip of the aqua gingham paper (oh my
heart, it is so pretty!) and then layered the journal elements on top. I
distressed the edges of all and also machine stitched around a few.
I added small amounts of ink to the top and bottom of the
large cluster using ink pads and an ink blending tool. I like how this extends
the pretty colours.
I used one of the Chipboard Frames too. I backed the
apertures in white paper from the Simple Vintage Basics Kit and then layered my
photo on top.
For my embellishments I’ve used lots of Foam Stickers,
Floral Bits and Bits & Pieces. I’ve also used stickers from the Cardstock
Stickers and the beautiful Decorative Brads.
I finished with splatters of black paint.
Thank you so much for joining me today and happy scrapping!

Hey everyone, here is a new layout for Lottie Loves Paper
using the Cocoa Vanilla Studio No Limits collection. I loved that stripy paper
and decided to feature it on my layout and therefore I used it as a background.
I cut a large star from black cardstock. I added lots of
black paint splatters to the background and then added the star on top. I
created a large cluster with three photos on top of the star, layered on
several frames. My title is from the Title Ephemera. I also added chipboard
stickers, cardstock stickers and a few bits of ephemera.
I finished off with lots of Bramble Fox Stars, enamel stars,
fussy cut stars and some sequins!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing this layout, I love the
stripes in the background!
