Living the Dream | Bramble Fox | Simple Stories Just Beachy

Thursday, 22 August 2024

Hey everyone! I have another beach themed layout to share for Bramble Fox. I’ve used the Living the Dream title from the Living the Dream set and also the Teeny Fish set in Tropical colours. Living the Dream set also comes with two other titles – Holibobs and Snapshot – both which are totally fabulous too!

I have used the Just Beachy collection by Simple Stories for this layout and used a large piece of yellow patterned paper with tropical flowers, together with two other patterns above it – I tore all the pieces which reminded me waves! I used three photos on this layout and lots of Floral Ephemera.

I also layered together two tags at the bottom of the layout and created a little underwater ‘scene’. I added flowers, leaves and lots of fish swimming about! Most were from the Teeny Fish set but I also added some Rub-On fish too which gave a bit of variety – I love it!

I finished off with my handwritten journaling and some splatters of white paint.

Happy scrapping

Boys are the Best | Bramble Fox | Pebbles Cool Boy

Monday, 12 August 2024

Hey everyone, here is a new layout for Bramble Fox using two new sets: Wow Words and Talk to the Hand. I adore both these sets, they are SO good for boy layouts! For this layout I had a fabulous photo of my little boy at a skate park, in front of a graffiti wall. I had it printed at 6”x12” to make it into a big feature on my layout.

I then used the Cool Boy collection by Pebbles to create strips of colour down the side of the photo and on the opposite side of the layout. I left some white space in the middle because the photo was so busy! I then used this area to create my big embellishment cluster: ‘boys are the best’ title using a journaling card and then lots of stacked Wow words and the Talk to the Hand icons too. I backed the Talk to the hand icons with patterned paper and then fussy cut these out.

I also made a little cluster down on the left side with ruched crepe paper and embellishments and then I added fabulous sequins everywhere! I finished off with black paint splatters. I absolutely love how this one turned out, it is so fun and I just love that giant photo!

Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping!

Holiday Happy | Bramble Fox

Monday, 22 July 2024

Big tropical florals and happy holidays make for a fun beachy layout! I’ve used the gorgeous new ‘Holiday Happy’ title which is new to the shop and some pretty summer bits to match. The paper collection is Just Beachy by Simple Stories and these Perspextives compliment that perfectly!

I started with some stencilling using the August Fox Box Plus stencil, which is a quilted pattern. I created two areas of stencilling, under where my clusters would go. I then added large florals and some tags together with my photos to make this split design. I added my title in the middle of the two photo clusters, something I wasn’t sure about doing but I love how it turned out!

I hope you like the layout! Happy scrapping

Summer Shenanigans | Bramble Fox | August Fox Box

Friday, 12 July 2024

Enjoy some summer fun with this Summer Shenanigans layout! I’ve used the August Fox Box for this layout: the stencil is from the Fox Box Plus and the title, turtle, crab and starfish are main Fox Box – how adorable is that crab!

I’ve used the Just Beachy collection by Simple Stories – I never have a shortage of beach photos! My photo for this layout is of my husband giving my children and a friend, a very big silly squeeze on the beach, maybe more of a rugby tackle!  So the ‘crazy fun’ smaller title in the August Fox Box went really well so I have that pointing towards the photo!

Happy Travels | Bramble Fox

Saturday, 22 June 2024

Travel and crafting, a perfect combination! For this layout for BrambleFox, I’ve combined a crafting paper collection, with travel Perspextives because we were travelling away for the weekend to visit Lisa Fonseca and Shara Crane and do some craft classes with them! What fun!

I have used the new Crafty Things collection by Simple Stories which was perfect for this layout. I’ve used ‘Happy Travels’ for my title which is from the July Fox Box, and the wooden camera, which is also from the July Fox Box. From a different set I’ve also used a mint Perspextive camera too, which I’ve tucked in behind the fussy cut embroidery hoops that are across the top of my layout.

I actually began the layout with stencilling using the plus signs stencil from the July Fox Box Plus, but I then covered most of it up – oops! I tucked rub-on flowers amongst the large cluster at the top too, and more rub-ons behind my photo.

This layout is a slightly different style to my usual – I’m trying something new and attempting to made less cluttered layouts, how did I do?

Happy scrapping

Summer Time | Bramble Fox

Wednesday, 12 June 2024

Document those summer memories with the July Fox Box and new summer Perspextives! For this layout for Bramble Fox, I’ve used the Simple Stories Just Beachy Collection as well as lots of Bramble Fox Perspextives! I’ve used the ‘Summer time’ title from the July Fox Box, two adorable seagulls and a wooden sandcastle, also from the July Fox Box, and two new summer sets. From these I’ve used two ice creams that look good enough to eat, and a pink pair of flip flops.

I started this layout by framing my photo in a chipboard life-ring frame. I added lots of floral ephemera and some small square journaling cards. I added some stencilling under the photo frame using the July Fox Box Plus stencil – it has plus signs on which I thought was fun!

I made a border with patterned paper strips and added an embellishment cluster on the right side of the layout with more ephemera, more square journaling cards, a seagull Perspextive and my ‘summer time’ title, positioned vertically.

I finished off with small details like Decorative Brads, Enamel Dots and splatters of white paint!

I hope you like it and that it makes you think of summer!

Eleven | Bramble Fox

Wednesday, 22 May 2024

Big hand-cut numbers to celebrate a birthday! I’ve used several of the new boy sets available now in the Bramble Fox shop on this layout celebrating my son’s 11th birthday.

I started with a white background, and then I cut two large number 1s from black patterned paper from the Family Fun collection by Simple Stories. Once my large numbers were cut and in place, I then added some stencilling using the new cogs stencil. I added two areas in yellow ink.

I then built the rest of my layout around the numbers. I used loads of Perspextive words: loved, awesome and boy, and three of the 100% words too. I love the look of the multiple words on the layout.

I added a few Family Fun embellishments and added to my clusters with some of the smaller Perspextives: a few of the cogs and the football from the diggers set. My son loves football so this was ideal.

I finished off with a few multicoloured stars, enamel dots and splatters of black paint – this turned out to be such a fun layout, I love the oversized numbers to mark his birthday.

Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping!

Built Tough | Bramble Fox

Sunday, 12 May 2024

For the boys..! For this layout I’ve used the fabulous new boy sets available now in the shop, to document my son’s birthday. He took a couple of friends Go-Karting and they had the best time.

I’ve used the Family Fun collection by Simple Stories, which is an older collection, from about 3 years ago, but I’ve held on to it as it’s so good for scrapping boys! I started off by using the cogs stencil, which I stencilled onto a white background using red and black inks.

I’ve used the Built Tough title in black as my main title, and I also used 100% Fearless, also in black. From the Diggers set I used the red racing car…so perfect for my Go-Karting photos! And I’ve also used a number of the cogs and tools. I love the small pieces to tuck in around my layout.

I finished off with colourful enamel dots and splatters of black paint!

Check out these new sets in the Bramble Fox shop, they are super fun!

Happy scrapping

Little Chef | Bramble Fox Yummy Collection

Monday, 22 April 2024

More baking with this Little Chef on my latest scrapbooking layout for Bramble Fox! I’ve used the Yummy collection which is perfect for photos of my little chef! This little boy loves to bake, and these photos capture him making a lemon drizzle cake! His egg-cracking skills are egg-cellent! I’ve used the Little Chef Set, and I’ve also used quite a few pieces from the Yummy Wordfetti set, I love the word and phrase feature over on the right side of the layout.

I’ve used the What’s Cookin’ collection by Simple Stories, and picked out colours that complemented the blue of the Little Chef title – this colour didn’t feature in the paper collection I’d chosen, but I was absolutely still able to make it work by carefully choosing colours that I put with it: yellows and aqua. The wood veneer from the Wordfetti went perfectly too.

I finished off with lots of little embellishments and some splatters of black paint which I used to tie in with the black Wordfetti pieces. I hope you enjoyed seeing how this layout came together, happy scrapping!
