I really love the Sketch Saturday sketches that we get given to play with each week, they are such a brilliant way to make a card!
Here is this week's Sketch Saturday Sketch:
and this week I have taken a break from birthday card and have made an anniversary card for my hubby. We've been married 3 years now. I didn't want to make it too pink/red i.e. valentines but still wanted something a bit lovey dovey and the card below is what I came up with. I've used an image by Milk Coffee.
This week's Sketch Saturday Sketch is sponsored by Milk Coffee who have a great
prize on offer, make sure you pop on over and join in to be in with a chance of

First Swim
Friday 30 August 2013
Every week there is a new challenge on UK Scrappers. This is last week's challenge which I'm only just now getting around to posting. Whether I get this week's challenge done is another matter which isn't looking likely!
Anyways, last week's challenge included this criteria:
1. To use scraps only (other than the background sheet)
2. To use a holiday theme (Summer/Ski-ing/Christmas...) and
3. to use the sketch.
Easy.
I've had this glittered paper for ages so even though it wasn't technically a scrap I feel very good about the fact that it has finally been used! I loved the sketch layout but instead of using all scraps above and below the photo I've added in two additional photos. I've also managed to use scraps of ribbon, used up some stickers from a mostly-used sticker sheet and added a few sequins and brads to finish off.
Right, now on to this weeks challenge!
Thanks for looking and happy scrapping xx

Week 4 of 'Lazy Days' kit layouts
Wednesday 28 August 2013
This week's supplies consist of three Teresa Collins He Said, She Said papers which are gorgeous, two pieces of card and some He Said, She Said photo corners.
I used the circles paper as the background and kept this layout quite simple. I've embellished it with the arrows from one of the other papers and made a journaling card to write my journaling onto.
My second layout uses three photos (I'm so often a one or two photo girl!) and that wonderful background paper was perfect for these photos. I've again embellished with arrows and of course the matching photo corners.

Threemore layouts using the 'Lazy Days' August kit
Wednesday 21 August 2013
For this week's layouts I've pulled out three My Mind's Eye Find You Wings & Fly papers together with the coordinating buttons & chipboard shapes and two pieces of card.
On my first layout I've used the kraft card for the background and splattered some ink across it. I've added a photo a the top and then formed a block like layout underneath the photo.
My second layout used one of the MME papers as the background - it reminded me of old paper and drawings so figured my architecture pictures from the Harry Potter tour would go well with these.
Here is Kirei's layout using these supplies: check out her blog for more details on how she made it.

Another couple of Class Layouts
Tuesday 20 August 2013
I have another couple of layouts from my scrapbooking class on Saturday to share.
For this one I have used another Pagemaps sketch. I saw this sketch and thought it was lovely and I knew I'd be able to create a nice layout using it. The papers are again My Mind's Eye (don't quite know how that happened, it wasn't planned to have three out of four layoutsMME!) this time the Collectable collection.
This next layout is the last one of the day and uses papers by Glitz Design - the Colour Me Happy range which is very bright and colourful. I scraplifted this layout by Nicole Martel who has also used the same papers. I loved the idea of a blocked layout with just one small photo. One of the papers was a cut apart sheet so we made use of all those elements as embellishments. We finished off my punching circles out of the leftover polka dot paper and raising them up on sticky foam pads over the coordinating circles on the layout.
Next class is in a month or so and I'll have another four layouts to share with you then.
