Tis the Season | Cocoa Vanilla Studio | Deck the Halls

 

Here is another layout for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the Deck the Halls collection! For this layout I decided to make a feature out of that gorgeous squares paper. I fussy cut all the squares and positioned them onto a white cardstock background in a central block design.

I cut away the middle part of two of the frames and added my photos behind them. On four of the frames I added hand stitched detail in colours to match the frames. I used chain stitch on two and standard back stitch on the other two. I love these little details.

I added my title: tis the season, vertically down the right side of the design and I added a border around the design with a black journaling pen.

I embellished the layout with small details such as small pieces of Floral Ephemera and label stickers from the Accessory Stickers. I finished off with splatters of gold paint. I love how this one turned out, those squares are just divine!

Christmas Magic | Simple Stories | Santa's Village

  

Here’s a very cute layout using @simplestories Santa’s Village! I chain stitched a circle, added lots of cute fussy cut Santas together with more fussy cut presents, Christmas trees and lots of gold stars!  I added Decorative Brads and splatters of gold paint!

Holly Jolly | Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Holly Jolly

 

Here is another layout using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Holly Jolly.  I cut a heart shape out of that beautiful red check paper, distressed the edges and stuck this to a white cardstock background. I used some of the Rub-Ons to add details under where my photo was going to sit: a painted square and some of those beautiful holly leaves.

I mounted my photo and then layered that onto the layout together with a number of embellishments: the large Santa, big ‘&’ sign and the most adorable little snowman I’ve ever seen!  I also added some more holly leaves and also added some Chipboard Stickers, I love the rosettes.

For my title I used one of the Sentiment Bits ‘Holly Jolly’ which I added to the top right section of my heart. I added a few small embellishments near to the title.

I added Decorative Brads to the layout and some phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers. I finished off the layout with splatters of black paint.

I really love the finished layout, it’s so fun with that big red heart and all the Christmas icons!

Santa's Workshop | Simple Stories | Simple Vintage Holly Jolly

 

Hey everyone here is a new layout for Simple Stories using the super-fun Simple Vintage Holly Jolly collection! I have really enjoyed using this collection and the icons are really cute! I love the colours too and all the amazing embellishment clusters that are already put together for you.

For this layout I had two photos of our school fayre – one with me and my friend doing set up, and one of my son and his friends doing their School Enterprise project – this is where groups of children are given a small budget, which they have to use to buy materials to make things, which then then sell at the Fayre to  make a profit which then gets donated to the school. It’s a fun project! These photos of us ‘working’ were perfect to use with the Santa’s Workshop paper and fun Time Cards!

I trimmed the paper down and mounted it onto the beautiful dark green check print. I then used the Journal Elements paper and cut up all the cards which I layered eclectically onto the background with my two photos. I love how this looks, it really reminds me of a busy office or workshop!

I added a few embellishments in two clusters…I tried not to add too many because my layout was already very busy! I used Bits & Pieces, Sentiment Bits, Cardstock Stickers and Decorative Brads. I added an ephemera bunting banner across the top of my big photo. I also added a couple of ornaments at the top of the layout near the title, which helped to balance out the very large cluster at the bottom.

I finished off by handwriting some journaling on the right side and adding a few splatters of black paint. I really love how this one turned out, I think the feel of it goes so very well with my photos!

Merry Grinchmas | GoGo Getaway Cybercrop Challenge | Simple Stories Santa's Village

 

Hey everyone! Here is the layout I made playing along with the November GoGo Getaway Cybercrop challenge which was to be inspired by a movie, TV show or song! I chose The Grinch as the inspiration for my layout and made this fun pieced layout using Simple Stories Santa's Village. I didn't use a cut file, I just made myself a template by hand drawing (and re-drawing!) onto a piece of white A4 paper which I then cut out and drew around! I hope you like it!

Magical Memories | Cocoa Vanilla Studio | Deck the Halls

 

Hey everyone! Here’s a new layout for Cocoa Vanilla Studio using the beautiful Christmas collection for this year, Deck the Halls. I was totally in-love with that wreath paper so I decided to fussy cut it out, curl up all the leaves and give it lots of dimension. I used a white card background and added a ‘glow’ under the wreath with an ink pad. I raised the wreath on foam pads and added lots of Floral Ephemera and icon Ephemera to the wreath: gifts, santa, flowers, cookie shapes, Christmas tree etc.

I used one of the gold titles for my title which I added in a curve around the wreath and then stitched in place using my sewing machine. I framed my photo with a frame from the Ephemera.

I finished off by adding lots of little puffy stars and circles and then lots of splatters of gold paint! I hope you like it!

Deck the Halls | FTLOPP Sketch | Simple Stories Snow Pine Lodge

 Hey everyone, here is my take on the November For the Love of Pretty Paper sketch. I used three photos for those squares and used one for my title. I’ve used the Simple Stories Snow Pine Lodge collection which is so fun to use!
