Niki's Page from Wednesday 28 September

Friday 30 September 2011

Hi Everyone

Here is the page I did using the kit from 28th September:

In true Niki style I used pretty much the whole kit on one page. I've also added a few bits to it such as the Prima Flowers, Glitz Teeny Alpha, pearls, ribbons and some brads. Most of these you can get in our online shop

First of all I stamped the background paper using a large heart stamp I have in my vast collection of rubber stamps, then I cut the large circles, cut my papers to size and arrnaged everything on the page.  The border punch used at the top is by Martha Stewart and is called 'Beaded Arcs'. We did have this is stock but are now out, plus the supplier is out of stock too - it is obviously a popular one!  We'll no doubt get hold of some soon though.

Once all my papers were arranged, I stuck everything down and added my epoxy stickers from the kit, the Prima Flowers, the titles and the brads.  The brads were from a kit we did a few weeks back and we still have a few left - have a look in the shop.

Here are a few more pictures:

Hope you like it!

Baby Card

Tuesday 27 September 2011

Hi Everyone

I didn't use the kit last week, instead I used the kit from the week before to make a baby boy card:

My husband asked me on my way out of the door to put a baby boy card together as someone at his office had just had one and he hadn't had a chance to get a card...bang went my evening's scrappin!

The papers were gorgeous so I didn't mind too much!

I cut the bunting out of the paper and made it into a feature on the corner of the card - the triangles were a bit too big so I trimmed them on the top to make the perfect size:

I finished off with a couple of different ribbons and stamped the sentiment. When I got home I coloured the face of the baby in skin tones as I'd forgotten to bring that ink with me!

Apologies for the bad quality photos - I took then on my phone - not quite up to my usual standard!

Apparently the mummy of that little baby boy was thrilled with her card - she is a crafter too so obviously appreciated my efforts!!

We have these papers on sale in our NEW ONLINE SHOP that is now all up and running so please stop by for a visit

See you tomorrow

PAGES FOR WEDNESDAY 21ST SEPT

Wednesday 21 September 2011

We chose beautiful crotched flowers, to co-ordinate with this weeks kit and they work very well.

With the use of buttons and twine, also added to these pages, the end result is very pleasing to the eye, as the embellishments complement the papers beautifully.

These pages were great fun to create because they are so yummy !
They are from the Lost and Found range and are really good quality papers.
I feel the cardstock I chose, co-ordinates particularly well with the colours, making them easy to work with.

If you would like a kit, there are still a few available, just text me.

Niki's 'Self-Portrait' page

Thursday 8 September 2011

Hi Everyone

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves last night I know I enjoyed creating with the fab kit we had to play with!

Here is what I came up with:

I am a bit more wasteful than Sandra and have therefore used my whole kit on just 1 page!

I used the lighter shade as my background and stuck on a large piece of the blue/brown paper. Before I actually stuck though I gutted the background paper so I could use parts of that on the layout as well.  From that spare piece I mounted my photo, mounted the strip at the top and cut out one of the flowers and the swirl you can see in the bottom right corner.

I added my fibres and clustered the buttons over to the right:
I also added a few buttons from my own button collection, a little twill flower that I just sewed together using twill tape, and a charm.  I kept some of my fibres back to tie through the middle of all the buttons as many of you who know me know that I can't stand naked buttons!!

I added my title using Prima alphabet stickers - some of which we will have in stock in the shop very soon (hopefully by next week)

The strip at the top was made by using some of the blue/brown paper and the EK Success Deco Scallop border punch which we currently do have in stock at the great price of £13.99.

I didn't want to cover up too many of the gorgeous flowers that were on the paper so I carefuly cut round one with a craft knife (I covered the back of the paper with a brown square so there were no gaps, and curled up the petals and re-attached over the top of my strip.  I also cut round half of the middle flower so I could slip my photo under the petals:

I hope you like it and don't foget that we have a few kits left over if anyone would like to replicate my page as well as Sandra's. Just email us to reserve one.

I'm in Portugal next week so won't be at crop - see you the week after!
