Hey everyone! Here is a new layout for Simple Stories using
the gorgeous Heart Eyes collection! This is a Valentines themed collection. I’m
always a huge fan of Valentines collections because I find hearts and love so
versatile…I love my children, I love our house, the activities we do and the
places we go…hearts go with everything! I particularly love this collection because
it doesn’t just consist of reds & pinks, but also has turquoise and bright
orange too, which makes it so versatile.
I’ve used a photo of my three children. I wanted to use that
super gorgeous paper with multicoloured hearts. I decided to feature this as a
large section so I fussy cut around one edge of the hearts, trimmed it down a
bit and added it to the bottom part of my layout. I tore a strip of pink paper
and added that behind it and left the top 4” of the layout white. This
horizontal line across the layout gave me a place to add my photo and my title,
as well as lots of embellishments.
I mounted my photo onto pink paper and added the word Adore
from the Foam Stickers to the left of it. I layered a large heart from the
Journal Bits behind my photo and pulled out some flowers, more hearts and flags.
I arranged these around the photo as well as along the horizontal line on the
layout.
I extended the embellishment cluster on the corner of my
photo down a bit too, adding lots more hearts from the Cardstock Stickers, and
Decorative Brads too. I also added Enamel Dots, dotted around the layout.
I finished off with splatters of white paint and a line of
handwritten journaling.
