Picnic in the Garden | Scrap Academy | Using Cut Files

Hey everyone, welcome to a bonus layout by me for Scrap Academy, talking about cut files. I haven't done a proper lesson so this is just a process video with a bit of chat about cut files.

The cut file I have used in today's video is by Anett Gelencser and will be available for all members of Scrap Academy to use. Check out Anett's other designs in her etsy store Anett's Designs. 

For this layout I have backed the Houses on the Hill cut file with the old fashioned way of using a pencil and a pair of scissors. I simply drew around the section I wanted to back and then cut it out and stuck it on with some wet glue. Once I had backed my cut file I then added lots of stitching.

I hope you enjoy this bonus layout, I absolutely ADORED making it and love the result so much.

Life Begins at 40 | GoGo Getaway Cyber Crop

Hey everyone, it's my turn now to set a challenge for today's GoGo Getaway Cyber Crop, I hope you are enjoying playing along with the fun!

My challenge is a moodboard challenge and I was specifically inspired by the colours on the moodboard and the 'next chapter' theme. I chose to to document photos from my husband's 40th birthday celebrations which we had on our own during lockdown!

Live Life Happy | Moodboard Inspired | Hip Kit Club Design Team

Hey everyone, I have a new layout and process video today for Hip Kit Club. This layout has been inspired by the June Moodboard and I have used the May kits. You can find the May kits on the Hip Kit Club website.

I was inspired by the vertical rainbow on the moodboard. I cut up the Pink Paislee 5th & Monaco striped paper into all the coloured strips. I then cut these into small pieces and arranged them across my background, which is a sheet of pink cardstock from the Cardstock Kit.

I drew some clouds onto a piece of white card and cut them out. I then stitched around the edges and placed them at the bottom of all my little coloured strips together with my photo. I embellished with Vicki Boutin ephemera, 5th & Monaco stickers and Amy Tangerine Picnic in the Park Icon Thickers. I also added lots of white and clear enamel dots.

Explore Discover | Lottie Loves Paper Design Team

Hey everyone, I have a new layout and video for Lottie Loves Paper today using the gorgeous Crate Paper Magical Forest collection which I'm totally in love with. It is just the cutest!

Today I was inspired by the paper with all the little critters all over it that are in oval frames. I decided to re-create the oval frame so I found a cut file from the Silhouette Store and cut it from blue cardstock. I then cut the oval out of my background and backed it with pink paper from the Magical Forest Collection. I then fussy cut lots of the little critters out (still in their frames) and arranged them inside my cut file frame on my layout. Of course I added a bow at the top to mimic the other frames!

I've used embellishments from the Magical Forest collection: two sets of alphabet stickers, the Accent & Phrase Thickers, flat stickers, chipboard stickers and ephemera. I finished off with a few sequins. I've just realised that I have forgotten to add my journaling...I'd better do that! You can find the Magical Forest collection over in the Lottie Loves Paper shop
