Hey everyone, here is a beachy mini album made for a GoGo Getaway Cybercrop Moodboard Challenge. I've used a cut file by Peartree Cut Files and the paper collection is Simple Stories Simple Vintage Coastal. I've also used fabulous Perspextives by Bramble Fox including the Life's a Beach signpost, Beach Hut and Seagulls!
Two pages are shaker pages filled with Spiegelmom Scraps Sequins - they are so pretty!
Hey everyone! Here is a new mini album for Simple Stories. I’m
using the very beautiful Simple Vintage Indigo Garden collection.
I cut lots of circles for this album. I used metal dies and
cut several in varying sizes. I used the 6x8 Paper Pad and the Simple Vintage
Indigo Garden 12x12 Basics Kit too. I
cut several circles in the biggest size and paired these with a slightly
smaller circle in a different pattern. I machine stitched the two together to make
a pocket. These form the bases of each page.
I cut more circles from a smaller size which would become
the inserts to go inside the pockets. I cut two for each pocket. I cut my
photos into smaller circles and added these to the insets. I added little
ribbon tabs to each circle insert so they could easily be pulled out of the
pockets.
I used the Chipboard Clusters for my front cover and for my
back cover. These were the three large clusters. I stuck two back to back to
form the back cover. I backed the other one with patterned paper and used this
as my front cover. I also added Floral Bits, Foam Stickers and Chipboard
Stickers to the front cover with my title ‘bubbles’ from the black Color Vibez
Alphabet Stickers pack.
I made two of my pages into shaker pockets by cutting
circles in acetate to overlay onto some of the circle pages. I then stitched
the layers together trapping pretty sequins inside.
I used a one Chipboard Frame to make a feature frame out of
one of my favourite photos.
For the photos that I couldn’t cut into circle shapes, I make
little fold-out booklets that also sit inside the circle pockets.
I decorated my pages, inserts and photos with Foam Stickers,
Layered Stickers, stickers from the Sticker Book, Cardstock Stickers, Banner
Stickers, Decorative Brads, Chipboard Stickers, Bits & Pieces, Floral Bits.
Somehow I forgot to use the Enamel Dots which would have been perfect, D’oh!
I punched a hole in the top of each page and put all the
pages onto a yellow book ring to bind it all together. It has turned out pretty
chunky but I absolutely love it.
Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
Hey everyone, here is a new layout for Hip Kit Club using
the January Kits which can be found on the Hip Kit Club website here: https://www.hipkitclub.net/january-2022.
Today is Mixed Media Monday so I have focused on the Color Kit.
I started by using one of the stencils on a white background
with some white texture paste. Once it was dry, I spritzed it with three
colours of Shimmerz: the Frostbite blue that was in the January Colour Kit,
Jeni B Blue which was in a past Colour Kit and a green colour from my stash. I
sprayed directly onto the background. It’s great to see the colour run between
the texture paste pattern, the effect is lovely.
I added my photos together with three geometric hearts cut
with the metal dies. I backed these with white so they showed up better against
the background. I added a few solid hearts and some other small embellishments
such as the cute sequin puffy stickers, ephemera flowers and mandala puffy
stickers.
I added a title in the black and white font from the January
kits – I love these letters. I finished with a few splatters of white paint and
some drops of black ink.
Thank you so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
Hey everyone! Here is my latest layout for Bella Blvd and I’ve
used a mixture of Bella Besties Hearts & Ombre and My Candy Girl. Our
prompt this week was to use hearts!
I’ve used a Cut-Out which is a pre-cut cut file with
templates for backfilling the letters and shapes. I’ve used a large title that
says ‘Love you Lots’. I loved the hearts that replaced the ‘o’s and decided to
turn those into sequin shaker pockets.
I started by cutting the heart template from acetate. I
stuck this to the back of the Cut-Out. I then made a ‘wall’ of foam pads around
the heart apertures. I filled these with sequins: light ones at the top, darker
ones in the middle and mainly navy ones in the bottom one.
I backfilled all the letters in ombre style: for the top word
I used the lightest part of the ombre side of Hearts & Ombre paper, for the
second word I used a pink pattern from My Candy Girl and for the bottom word I
used a dark pink hearts side from a Hearts & Ombre paper.
Once all my letters were backfilled and the sequin shakers
filled and sealed, I stuck the Cut Out to a sheet of navy Hearts & Ombre
paper. I had actually splattered this first with white acrylic paint and
trimmed it down a bit. I mounted the background onto white card to give it a
border.
I then punched a few hearts from pink papers in different
sizes. I added my photo and then added the hearts around the photo and some on
the other side of the Cut Out too.
I finished off with a white border drawn with white pen and
some more splatters of white acrylic paint.
Many thanks for joining me today and I hope you have enjoyed
this fun shaker layout!
Happy scrapping
Hi everyone! I have a mini album to share today for Hip Kit
Club. I’ve used the January 2022 Kits which can be found on the Hip Kit Club
website here: https://www.hipkitclub.net/january-2022.
Our assignments today were to use lots of hearts, and to
include five different patterned papers. I chose to go for a balloon shaped
mini album because these photos are of my little boy’s third birthday. I
included lots of hearts throughout the album.
I drew a balloon shape onto white card and cut it out which
I then used as a template for the pages. I made seven balloon shaped pages. I
made two into sequin shaker pockets and turned the rest into pocket pages by
adding a vellum pocket. I machine stitched around the outside edge of all. I
punched a hole in the top of each so the book could be bound by a book ring.
I added ribbons and twine to each of the balloons, as the
strings. I made little booklets full of photos to go inside all the vellum
pockets.
I decorated each page with a geometric heart cut using one
of the metal dies and solid hearts too. On the front cover I used the balloon
die too, inked it to match the paper and added ‘3’.
I used lots of little stickers, puffy stickers and ephemera
inside the album.
I really love how it turned out. Thank so much for joining
me today and happy scrapping
Hey everyone! Here is a new layout for Lottie Loves Paper. I’m
playing along with this week’s challenge which is to use hearts, and I’m using
the Simple Stories Happy Hearts collection.
I’ve used a pink cardstock base and have used metal dies to
cut lots of different sized hearts from the Happy Heart Papers. I layered these
together, stitched through them and arranged them in a curve on my page.
I added lots of little embellishments from the Happy Hearts
collection as well as Perspextives by Bramble Fox and little heart shaped gems.
I definitely managed to complete the hearts challenge!
Thanks so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
