So Fun! | Retro Summer | Simple Stories

 

Hey everyone, here is another layout using Retro Summer by Simple Stories! For this layout I went with ALL the colours and patterns! I picked out loads from the 6x8 Paper pad and cut lots of different sized circles. I then placed these all around the outside edge of a piece of white card. Once they were all stuck in position, I trimmed the overhanging circles. I love the result!

I used a Foam Sticker ‘so fun’ in bright colours for my title and I stuck it right in the middle of the white space. I added two photos which I mounted onto plain journaling cards. I then added lots of small embellishments to my frame made of circles. I used the icons from the Foam Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, Decorative Brads, Bits & Pieces, Chipboard Stickers and Enamel Dots.

I finished off the layout with a few splatters of white paint. I really had so much fun making this layout, all the patterns and bright colours are so great for summer!

So Cool | Retro Summer | Simple Stories

 

Hi everyone, here is a new layout using the new Retro Rummer collection by Simple Stories. I’ve had such fun using this collection and I have no shortage of summer pool and holiday photos!

I started with the paper that has waves on it which I cut apart along the waves. I distressed the edges of each edge and then stuck it back together onto a piece of white card. I had two photos to use from a trip to a water park, and I paired these with some tags from the Tags paper.

I then built a giant embellishment cluster down the left side of the layout, I used Bits & Pieces, Journaling Bits, Stickers, Decorative Brads and Enamel Dots. I picked out all the blue, green and yellow pieces to achieve a monochrome look. I used a Foam Sticker for my title!

I finished by adding journaling and a few splatters of white paint! I love how the layout turned out, and it was so fun to make!

So Berry Sweet | Simple Vintage Berry Fields | Simple Stories

 

Hi everyone, here is a new layout using Simple Vintage Berry Fields. This collection is really lovely, full of pretty things.

For my layout I used a gingham print in green for my background. I also fell in love with the woodgrain paper. I cut the woodgrain into strips, distressed the edges and stuck them over the top of the green gingham background. I missed out one of the panels to show off a bit more of that gorgeous green and to create a space for my title. My hope was that the horizontal lengths of woodgrain pattern, would mimic the wooden fence in my photos that my boys are feeding goats through! I think it goes pretty well!

I mounted my two photos and added them to the left of my layout. I added my title to the right of my photos, sitting within the green area. I mostly used the Page Pieces to embellish this layout, one of my new favourite embellishments to use!

I created clusters of embellishments around my photos and also one at the bottom right corner of the layout. I mostly used Page Pieces but also used stickers and Decorative Brads.

I finished off my adding splatters of black paint at various points around the layout.

Tiddler...the Storytelling Fish | GoGo Getaway Moodboard Challenge | Simple Stories My Story

 

I made this layout playing along with a GoGo Getaway moodboard challenge. I've used the My Story collection by Simple Stories. I cut the book paper up into 'bookshelves' and stacked them on the left side of the layout. This was perfect for my photos, which are of my little boy dressed up for World Book Day (as Tiddler)
