Hey there! Today I am Guest Designing for
Pretty My Page. Pretty My Page have a great selection of digital cut files, and they also offer a cutting service too for those who don't have an electronic cutting machine of their own - how awesome is that!
I was given the '
Big Witch Legs' cut file to work with which is a great excuse for a Halloween layout. We are on holiday this year for Halloween which was a major error on our part as we love Halloween so much! D'oh! But we'll be taking our costumes with us and dressing up anyway, even if no one else in Lanzarote is lol So I'm working with last years Halloween photos, of which there were many, and lots that I still haven't scrapped!
I cut the Big Witch Legs cut file onto a sheet of white card. I cut the design quite large and slightly over to the right side of the page. This was so I had some room left on the left side for my photo. I backfilled all the spaces using papers from a Bella Blvd collection from last year. I don't stick my papers flat to the back of the cut file but raise them on foam pads - this is so my cut files have depth and dimension, I love those shadows!
Once the Big Witch Legs were backed in several different colours, I then added my photo and lots of different embellishments, as is my usual style. I've used a mixture of collections - all from last year: Goosebumps by Pretty Little Studio, Spooktacular by Bella Blvd, Pink Paislee Spellcast, Trick or Treat by My Minds Eye - so a complete variety!
I added my title using Thickers by Amy Tan and some puffy hearts by her too, and told a story in my journaling about my daughter's terrible and repetative joke telling! I added fussy cut pumpkins from Spooktacular by Bella Blvd.
I really enjoyed working with this cut file and love the end result of my layout. Thank you Pretty My Page for having me and make sure you check out their fab store.
Happy scrapping, Niki xx
