Today's page kit features some of the really beautiful papers from the My Mind's Eye 'Indie Chic range. It's a really pretty kit with pinks and purples and some great patterns.
This kit is called Primrose and contains:
3 x My Mind's Eye Patterned papers
2 x coordinating Bazzill cardstock
a few gerbera daisy stickers by Martha Stewart
1m pink grosgrain ribbon
1m lilac ric rac
a few pink and lilac brads by American Crafts
In my first layout using this kit, I added a little bit of vanilla card in order to make the journaling box. I added a little bit of patterned paper to the top plus a brad to make it look a bit like a clipboard. The small alphabet stickers are from a it a few week's ago (Inventory) and the larger ones are from my stash.
My second layout uses the paper scraps plus the flowered patterned paper as the background that I deliberately didn't use in my first layout! We went to some friends' wedding and their wedding cake was a mountain of Krispy Kremes - genius! I was in awe of it and then I ate quite a few of the doughnuts, yum!
I again used the same purple alphabet from my stash but also some small charcoal alpha stickers too. I pleated the ribbon down the left side of the photo to add a bit of texture and stapled it in place for a really ruffled effect. I also dropped a few ink spots in some of the white space on the paper, just so that it wasn't so bare. I'm really pleased with how this layout turned out and the wedding cake? Well that's my favourite wedding cake of all time, and I've been to a lot of weddings!
Kirei's layout is really cute too. I love the way she's looped the ricrac to look like leaves poking out from beneath her flowers. Have a look at her blog for more info on how she made it.
This kit is available to purchase from the online shop here for £6.85 so pop on over and buy one because they'll no doubt be sold out tomorrow!
Thanks a lot for looking xx
