52 Layouts Step-by-Step #16 Daddy Drop Me!

Friday 21 September 2012

Morning All!

I have another installment of 52 Layouts Step by Step for you today and here is what you need to join in:
There are 3 different coloured cardstock sheets pictured but I have actually used only one.
6x4 portrait photos - x2
Small alphabet and a large one too
bakers twine
and some additional embellishments here that aren't pictured: some border stickers and some buttons

Step 1
Choose a background and ink the edges.

Step 2
Cut patterned paper to 7x8", ink the edges and stick down.

Step 3
Cut another patterned paper to 2.5 x 11". Ink the edges and stick down.

Step 4
Cut cardstock (mine has a slight pattern on it) to 2 x 10.5", ink the edges and stick down.

Step 5
Mount two 6x4 photos onto cardstock 6 1/4 x 8 1/4". Ink the edges and add to layout.

Step 6
Cut a border sticker strip to 10.5" and stick under the photos (keep the remaining part of the border sticker for later)

Step 7
Add a title and some journaling.

Step 8
Punch holes at the top and bottom of the right edge of your right photo and thread bakers twine through it. My holes went through the whole layout. I've threaded the twine around twice and secured with a bow in the bottom right corner of the photo.

Step 9
Tie bakers twine through a few buttons and stick these to the layout.

Step 10
Create a pretty bit in the top left corner of the layout with a few scraps of patterned paper (ink the edges), the remaining part of the border sticker strip, a subtitle and another couple of buttons.

And then you're done. Layout complete. Thanks for joining in and if you want to then please link your layouts below so I can see what you have made!

Next week you will need:
2 x patterned papers
2 x card
2 x 6x4 landscape photos
Alphabet stickers
and a few embellishments - I have butterflies and flowers.

Thanks for joining in and see you next week!
