My assignment today was to be inspired by the December Moodboard. It is such a fun moodboard full of cute images.
Unfortunately I have lost my voice, so I start off with a brief voiceover, but then switch to music. Sorry about that. Hopefully it will be better by my next video!
My first card is a large card: 8x8". I have focussed on using the Stamp Kit and have made a snowglobe from vellum and I've trapped sequins inside to make a shaker. I was inspired by the jar image on the moodboard: it reminded me of a snowglobe. I embellished this card with pom pom trim and twine from my stash as well as lots of the beautiful acetate pieces. I also stamped the white background with the stars from the Stamp Kit and I then heat embossed those with white powder - unfortunately it doesn't show up too well! I fussy cut some gifts from one of the November patterned papers and then I embellished the embellishments with glue and glitter - this card is SO SPARKLY!
My second card is much simpler. I cut some patterned paper then added a chipboard frame and three trees, having been inspired by the tree image on the moodboard. I added 'merry' vertically and also added some silver twine which I tied in a bow. I created a white border with a border punch. I wanted it to go all the way round the paper so cut four strips and I mitred the corners to make it give the appearance of going all the way around. I added glitter to the trees to finish off.
The third card was inspired by the image on the moodboard of wrapped gifts. I just loved the colours so much and the silver twine. I pulled out the same colours from the Cardstock Kit and cut strips to go along the top of my card. I then wrapped silver thread around the card lots of times and added three baubles. I finished off with stamped stars and pink Nuvo Drops, oh and more glitter :)
