Aldenham Country Park Pocket Mini Album | GoGo Getaway

Tuesday 8 December 2020

Hi everyone, today I am sharing a mini album I made recently as an example for a GoGo Getaway Cyber Crop Moodboard challenge. For those who don't know, we have been holding monthly Cybercrops over on the GoGoGetaway Facebook Group throughout the Pandemic. We have four challenges each time and of course there are prizes and we have a fun game of BinGoGo too.

For the November Cybercrop my challenge was a moodboard challenge. I therefore took a lot of elements from the moodboard and incorporated them into this mini album.

My album was inspired by one I saw Paige Evans had made. Paige used a cut file from Silhouette, but I didn't use the same cut file, I made my own pockets: five strips of paper 8x12". These were folded in half to make 4x12 strips and then folded in half the other way. I secured them with stitching, leaving the ends open. I then handstitched the five pages together in the middle.

I then made cards for each pocket, so 10 in total and I also made a sleeve to go around the whole book to hold it all together. I love the result - it is interactive in many places and was fun to make.

I have mostly used my October Hip Kit Club kit for this album, which included Maggie Holmes Marigold and Simple Stories Cozy Days. I also added a couple of cute Bramble Fox mushroom Perspextives to the front cover and added Spiegelmom Scraps sequins to a shaker pocket within the album.

Thanks you so much for joining me today and I hope you enjoy seeing how this mini album came together.

Happy scrapping

Niki xx
