Home for Christmas | Shimmerz Paints | December Color Kitz

Hey everyone, here is a new layout today for Shimmerz Paints using the absolutely awesome December Color Kitz. You can find the December Kitz on the Shimmerz Paints website here.

The December Color Kitz contains five Shimmerz Paints colours: Granny Gray, Olive Branch, Seas the Day, Bubblegum Blast and Buddy's Favorite Color. These colours are such an awesome combination for Christmas! As well as the paint, there is also a pack of three Dotz which have super cute designs, and a packed of Silver Dusting embellishmentz - this is basically tinsel! As well as these awesome products there is also an exclusive cut file which is a string of baubles with separate branches to layer.

I started off by spritzing my cut file branches while they were still on my cutting mat with Granny Gray. Once they had dried a bit I then used Mother of Pearl Foilz through a Paige Evans stencil over the branches.

I then created my background. I used the pink and the red applied with the packaging technique onto a white background. I added splatters too in those two colours and later also added splatters in Granny Gray and Seas the Day.

I backed the cut file with patterned papers and layered that onto my background once it was dry. I added my photo and an acrylic title by Bramble Fox: Home for Christmas. I then layered on the branches which looked completely awesome in the silver colour. Once they were stuck down I added adhesive to them and then added the silver dusting tinsel - OMG, the SPARKLE!! I can't tell you how amazing this looks in real life, it is just sooooo pretty!

I finished off by adding one of the Dotz to one of the cut file baubles and I also handwrote in some journaling. I'm so happy with how this layout turned out, I love it so much! Don't forget that if you place an order via the Shimmerz Store, add my name to the comments to get a freebie. Thank you so much for joining me today and happy scrapping.
