Hi everyone, I have a layout for GoGo Getaway to share today. It is from our Cybercrop that took place on 12th and 13th December 2020. We had two days: a non festive day of challenges, and a festive day of challenges.
My challenge was the Colour Challenge on the Festive day! So I had a palette of Christmassy colours to play with.
I was planning to use Crate Paper Hey Santa, but I also wanted to use this awesome Merry Grinchmas cut file by Paige Evans and the Grinch is lime green so I had to also add lime green to this palette!
I spent some time backing the cut file. I found some paper from an older Simple Stories collection that was perfect for his face. I used red Hey Santa paper for the hat and I added some black, plain green and white for his eyes and nose. For the fluffy parts of his hat, I backed the cut file with white card, then added glue and sprinkled white glitter all over. I backed the letters with different colours.
I wanted to add some colour to my background so grabbed a piece of patterned paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Merry and Bright collection. I cut a large star from the middle and then backed this with a piece of white card, forming a sort-of aperture. I added the cut file and my photo and then started adding a few embellishments. I've added some ephemera as well as a few perspextives by Bramble Fox and sequins by Spiegelmom Scraps.
