December Album Foundation Pages 15-16 | Lottie Loves Paper

Hi everyone, I have two more foundation pages for my December Album to share today for Lottie Loves Paper. I'm using a mixture of Crate Paper Hey Santa and Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry and Bright.

Page 15 is an interactive page and was a tutorial from the Ali Edwards Prep Party by Krystal Idunate. I've used the templates from that class to create the page and the title is part of the template that I just printed directly onto white Bazzill cardstock. The idea behind this page is to document your wrapping paper and the four little photos will be wrapping paper swatches, which then pull up to reveal another four photos: the wrapped gifts! Well I loved the idea of this even though I actually hate wrapping gifts! Hopefully my gift wrapping will be ok enough to add to my album, I definitely need to up my game in this department. It took a bit of playing with but I did manage to create the page and I'm happy with how it looks. I've kept this one fairly simple and just added a few small embellishments below the photo windows.

Page 16 is fab - I just LOVE how this turned out. My background is patterned paper and is a sheet of snowman paper from Crate Paper Hey Santa. I've not done anything to it other than to add a large white circle which will be where my photo will go. I had high hopes for this day as we had planned to go to a farm, meet Santa (socially distanced) and do a teddy building workshop with my little two year old - sadly the area has moved to Tier 3 so the farm is closed and in addition to that my little one has to self isolate for 10 days because he came into contact with a Covid positive person at his pre-school. So we are indoors for a while...by the time this goes live we will be out of isolation I hope! So now I don't know what my photo will be of, but it definitely won't be the cute teddy cuddling photo I had envisioned! Hey ho...the best plans are always subject to change and this year more than most hey.

Anyway...back to page 16. I had this idea to create a large rosette that could be rotated up to reveal my photo. I did this but this page was going to be inside a page protector, so wouldn't work. I decided that the rosette could be on the OUTSIDE of the page protector while the background and photo could be INSIDE the page protector. It works so well. I attached the rosette through the page protector and through the layout itself with a metal brad, and now I can rotate it up and around to reveal my photo underneath - I'm so happy this worked!

I embellished the rosette with two snowmen, my number, a couple of hearts and a gold star. It needed to stay simple with so much else going on.

Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you've enjoyed these layouts as much as I enjoyed making them and enjoy the video too.

Happy scrapping

Niki xx
