All Boy | Hip Kit Club | Moodboard Inspired using February 2021 Kits

 

Hi everyone, I have a new layout to share today for Hip Kit Club. I've used the February 2021 Kits which can be found on the website here, and I have been inspired by the April Moodboard. The April moodboard is a mix of pink and black images. I love the monochrome feel to this moodboard so decided to go with a monochrome layout myself but in blue tones rather than pinks. Moodboards can be interpreted in lots of different ways and there were a number of ways that gave me so much inspiration.

I cut the All Boy cut file from blue paper from the February Kit. I backed this with a white patterned paper. I just love the offset effect of this cut file! The moodboard has letters on it with torn edges to I decided to use torn paper on my layout. I grabbed the blue ledger paper and tore off a section at the bottom. I also tore another layer and layered this underneath the first torn edge. I added these to a sheet of white card. I added some black machine stitching to the layout underneath where my cut file was going to go and then added my cut file, raised on foam pads.

I added two photos, both mounted on journaling cards. I then added some 'mixed media' by using those awesome clear stickers that were in the February kits! I tucked these under my cut file and around the photos. I cut a square of navy paper and then cut it into triangles - these were inspired by the triangles image on the moodboard. I stitched around them with my sewing machine and black thread.

I added stickers and labels from the Pinkfresh Studio Some Days collection, added my journaling and finished off with some splatters of Tickle Me Turquoise Shimmerz paint that was in the February Color Kit and some large splatters of black Indian Ink.

I really love how this one turned out and it's amazing how many different looks can be achieved with one kit!
