Hi
everyone, I am sharing a new layout today for Lottie Loves Paper. I’m using the
beautiful Garden Party collection by Maggie Holmes and I’m also playing along
with this week’s Lottie Loves Paper Sketch challenge.
I started
off by creating the colour blocking on the background of the sketch. I used the
pink striped Garden Party paper for this. I used the outside edge for a border
to my layout and from the middle section that I gutted, I cut a wide strip and
then cut it into the colour blocked sections. I distressed the edges and added
these, offset a little, to my background.
I created a
large cluster on the left side of my layout together with my photo and lots of
fussy cut florals from a sheet of Garden Party paper. Over on the right,
instead of another photo, I added a large Bramble Fox title ‘Spring time’. I
also added florals to the right side of the layout but I deliberately left a
gap for my title so that the florals didn’t show through the letters.
I added
Bramble Fox butterflies to the top cluster. I also added tags, floral stickers,
chipboard florals and butterfly and bee stickers. I also added a bird and two
gorgeous gold glittery hearts from the Garden Party collection – I love those!
I finished
off my layout with sequins by Spiegelmom Scraps (Unicorn Dust), gold paint
splatters and some machine stitching through my colour blocks.
I really
loved playing along with this weeks sketch! Thanks you so much for joining me
today and happy scrapping
Niki xx
