Home School Chaos | Guest Designing for Paige Evans

Tuesday 6 April 2021

Hi everyone, I am absolutely delighted to be guest designing for Paige Evans today! I'm using her Go the Scenic Route collection and one of her cut files: Home School. If you are searching for this cut file in the Silhouette Design Store, you can find it without the space, so 'homeschool' (that had me flummoxed for a while!)

I cut the cut file in white and backed it in white vellum. I then placed it on the most colourful patterned paper from Go the Scenic Route I had! I LOVE this paper, it reminds me of swatches of water colour paint. I splattered it with white paint first (including getting it all over my dress!) and then layered the cut file on top together with two photos. These photos are of my boys doing home school lessons, even though my two-year-old doesn't actually have to go to school, he absolutely had to get involved in an art lesson!

I added clusters of embellishments around the photos and around the right side of the cut file. I've used Go the Scenic Route chipboard, stickers, puffy stickers and ephemera, as well as some fussy cut flowers from another sheet of paper. I finished off with some label stickers and the word 'Chaos' that I added using Thickers.

Thank you so much for watching along today and happy scrapping

Niki xx
