Hi everyone, here is a new layout to share for Lottie Loves Paper using the Merry & Bright collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
I have also played along with this week's sketch challenge. I love this sketch and decided to flip it entirely so that my photos were along the bottom edge rather than the top.
Instead of creating a line of embellishments as per the sketch, I have replaced that with a large Christmas tree cut file. I cut it from the lovely tree paper from Merry & Bright and then mounted it onto green paper (the reverse of the tree paper) to give it some definition. I added this to a white background which I trimmed down and mounted onto another sheet of patterned paper to give it a stripy border.
To represent the strips on the sketch I have created a horizontal line across the layout using tulle, two photos, a small square journaling card and embellishments.
For my title I have used the word 'Christmas' which was on a tag, with black Thickers above and below it so it reads 'oh Christmas Tree!' The Thickers are from The Avenue collection by Jen Hadfield.
I added die cut stars and wood veneer baubles to my large tree. I painted the wood with gold paint to make them shimmer. I also added gold splatters.
I finished off with my journaling, chipboard embellishments from Hey Santa and some gorgeous Bramble Fox red hearts.
Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy scrapping and enjoy the video.
