Hi everyone, I have the final two pages from my December Album to share today for Lottie Loves Paper. I'm using a mixture of Crate Paper Hey Santa and Cocoa Vanilla Studio Merry & Bright collections.
For Day 28 I have printed a full sized photo that simply sits within the page protector. I had another story I wanted to tell from this day too, so I added a vellum pocket to the outside of the page protector and added an extra photo and a journaling card in there. The vellum pocket I made using the Hey Santa speciality vellum which I turned into a pocket using the WRMK Pocket Punch board. I assembled it and stuck it to the top left corner of the page protector. I backed a small photo with white card and added a tab. I also made a journaling card the same size, also backed with white card and I added a tab to that too. I was able to write my journaling on the back of each. Because the pocket is on the outside of the page protector it is really easy to access the items inside.
For Day 29 I created a large stocking. I used a Silhouette cut file and cut out a template of all the pieces in white card. I used this as a template to cut the pieces in patterned paper. I chose a red pattern and a pink pattern, both by Hey Santa. I assembled the stocking and stuck it onto white card. I trimmed around it and then pierced holes using a paper piercing tool. I then stitched around the pieces in red and pink thread. The result is a super cute paper pieced stocking - I love it!
I wanted my photos to be poking out of the top of the stocking so I created another vellum pocket, the say size and method as I did for Day 28. I stuck this to the back of the stocking and my photos can therefore tuck inside it, appearing like they are inside the stocking. I added the stocking to a Hey Santa patterned paper. I machine stitched around the background paper with white thread.
I used metal dies to add the word 'merry' and I added gold snowflakes from the Hey Santa puffy Phrase Thickers to the stocking along with other embellishments. I also added in a cute felt stocking that my friend Steph made for me. It is so lovely to have included some items from my friends in my album this year - thanks Steph, it's the cutest thing ever x I tied a Hey Santa charm to that little stocking too. I finished off with some fussy cut flowers and of course I added my photos to the pocket with my journaling on the back.
