Sketch Saturday Card

Monday 4 June 2012

Wow, a happy, bright and breezy Jubilee Monday morning to everyone. I didn't think I'd be saying that after yesterday's constant rain and grey skies. We're having a street party later and there has been talk of hiring the church hall as a back up plan in case it tips it down but by the looks of it that won't be necessary - fingers crossed. There's going to be a bouncy castle which my little miss will love so I do hope that goes ahead.

Anyway, on to a card I've made today for Albert's 1st birthday. He is one of Sophie's little friends from our NCT group and he will be 1 this week. We're going to his party on Friday.

I am lacking a bit in little boy stamps so I searched through my old stamps and found this one which I thought would do nicely.

I've coloured it with my Copics:
Truck: E31, E33, E35, E37
Grey: C1, C3, C5, C7,  & 100 Black (for the wheels)
Presents: E04, E08, Y21, Y28, BG01, BG05

That lush ribbon across the middle is Papertrey Ink and those textured letters are by Prima (yum yum!).  I've also used Tim Holtz tiny brads to attach the small ribbon tags on the left.

I used this week's Sketch Saturday sketch to create this card. I'm super-duper excited to say that I have been selected to be on the Sketch Saturday Design Team which I start in a couple of week's time! Yey!
