Card Candy

Thursday 7 June 2012

A couple of weeks ago I did something completely different for one of my classes...instead of a card making class, I did a card toppers class. I got the idea from a Stampin Up 'Card Candy' swap that took place a couple of years ago. I was so impressed at the time and ever since I have thought card candy would make an excellent subject for a class. Well a couple of weeks ago I actually DID it!

Here are the three sets of Candy I came up with:

This one is made using two different Stampin Up stamp sets: Fox & Friends and Funky Four:

This one is made using Vintage Vogue:
(this one was inspired by someone's Candy I took a photo of at convention - I have no idea who they were though so can't give credit...sorry)

This one is also made using two different stamp sets: Party this Way and Pennant Parade:
The Card Candy class went down really well and it was great fun. I think we used almost every punch I own so clearing up afterwards took a while but they came out really well so several happy campers!

I then needed a card for a 1 year old's birthday - it was a last minute make and the Card Candy came in very hand for this:

I added the number '1' using lime green vinyl Thickers I had in my stash - perfect!

I hope you like these, I certainly enjoyed making them. Stop back tomorrow for the first in the series of 52 Layouts Step-by-Step.
