Hey everyone, I have a new layout and video to share today for Hip Kit Club. I'm using the absolutely beautiful October 2020 kits and this is my first layout using them. You can find all the October 2020 kits on the Hip Kit Club website here.
And I've used two cut files, both from the October Downloads. I've used 'Pumpkin Face' and 'Sweater Weather'. These are both Subscriber cut files which means you do need to be a subscriber to access these cut files. I didn't use the actual faces for the pumpkins and stuck to the outline shape instead as I wanted to create an autumn layout rather than a halloween one. I also just used the leaves from the Sweater Weather cut file, not the actual title.
I cut the pumpkin outlines from kraft card from the October Cardstock Kit and I cut some of the leaves from that colour too. I also cut leaves from the Beeswax Bazzill cardstock, also from the October cardstock kit. I backed the pumpkins from my favourite paper 'Warm Hearts' from the Simple Stories Cozy Days collection.
For my background I used a pink chevron print that is an exclusive paper. I trimmed it down, distressed the edges and stuck it to a piece of white card. I then added my backfilled pumpkins together with a Cozy Days mustard frame and my photo.
I stitched through all my leaves using gold thread and my sewing machine. I also fussy cut some leaves from another Cozy Days paper. I then arranged all the leaves around my photo and my pumpkins and well as layering some falling from the top edge of my layout. I also added gold machine stitching to the Cozy Days frame and around the edge of my photo.
Finally I added pumpkin embellishments and a few stickers. I also added puffy gold hearts to the top of the layout and finished off with a few splatters of Lindy's Red Hot Poker Orange from the October 2020 Color Kit.
