Sunshine | Lottie Loves Paper | Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream

Saturday 10 October 2020

Hey everyone, I have a new layout to share today for Lottie Loves Paper using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream.

I decided to use the Sweet Serenity paper for my background, BUT I'd already used the blue side so this time I've gone for the black and white dotty side. I was aiming for a 'cool' layout so picked out the blues and pinks in the collection (i.e. no warm colours such as yellow) and that was my theme.

I used a sheet of blue/grey card as my base, tore off the bottom edge of the Sweet Serenity paper and layered the pieces together to give a torn effect at the bottom of my layout.

I added some white paint to the background to give a bit of separation between the photo and the dotty paper and then added my photo and lots of ephemera pieces. I fussy cut the flowers and some rainbows, always carefully looking at the cool colours and arranged these around my photo. I also used a couple of Bramble Fox Perspextives - two globes. These were open designs so I backed them first on white card so that the patterns and layers wouldn't show through them. They were a great match to the Daydream Collection blue and also worked well with my holiday photo - because we were abroad in the photo.

I added a flair button from the Daydream collection as well as some blue sequins, that I picked out of the Daydream sequin mix. I then wrote my journaling and then decided that the layout needed something to balance it out at the top, so added a couple of banners and a flower.

Thank you so much for joining me today for this fairly quick and straight forward layout - I've used patterns again for my background, go me!

Head over to Lottie Loves Paper to pick up the beautiful Daydream collection and you can view the process video below.

Happy scrapping
