Hey everyone, here is another layout for Lottie Loves Paper using the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Daydream collection. I'm running out of paper, so have made a mixed media layout today focusing on embellishments instead of papers.
I have used my Shimmerz August Color Kitz which contains five colours of Shimmerz paint:
Glorious Day
Pop Art Pink
Trippin in the Tropics
Bamboo Leaf
Slow Ocean.
I applied my paints to a white marshmallow background using the packaging technique. I also used a paintbrush to move the colours around a little, and to add splatters. I also added splatters of white paint. I kept the colours in blocks to create a sort of rainbow effect using colours from the Daydream collection.
After my paint was dry, I added my photo and a journaling card. I also added a number of fussy cut rainbows. I was aiming to place the embellishments colour-on-colour. This was hard because lots of the embellishments are multi coloured, but I did my best. I kept adding rainbows, leaves, hearts, stickers from the sticker sheet and I also added lots of did cut title words. I had a whole pack of these and even though I've made 7 layouts now (I think), I still have lots of words left so I thought I'd see if I could use several on one layout. So I picked out words that worked with this photo of my little boy and placed them around the photo. I love how this looks.
I finished with sequins and handwriting my journaling.
