Only Scraps Allowed...Red & Kraft

Monday 8 October 2012

Morning Ladies. My massive class went really well on Saturday - I've never had such a big group at once but somehow it all went perfectly and everyone made their 30 cards plus a little bonus project and all went away happy.  After the class we went out to the last of our Come Dine With Me meals. We've been holding a CDWM competition with three other couples and it's taken 19 months to get all four complete. The last one was on Saturday and we came joint second. The £100 prize fund went to a very deserving Simon & Debbie so well done guys!

AThis week's Only Scraps Allowed challenge is to use both red and kraft on your layouts. Red isn't a colour I naturally go for as I often think it's too Christmassy or denotes love/Valentines etc but teamed with kraft you get a delicious colour combo that is suitable for loads of things.

Here are the scraps I pulled out:

and here's the layout I came up with:

Love those cork effect Thickers...

and what layout would be complete without a bit of washi tape and twine?!

If you would like to join in this week then simply create a layout using only paper scraps (one whole sheet allowed for the background and any embellishments you like) and incorporate red and kraft into your layout. Link your layouts below too if you like!

Enjoy this week's challenge. We're having a new sofa delivered today, I had better tidy up!
