I'm exhibiting at Stamperama in Stevenage today. If you are in the area then make sure you stop by. The show is a mini version of Alexandra Palace and is a really good one and there will be some good deals to be had - most of them on my stand! I will also be at Alexandra Palace in September which I am really looking forward to so hopefully see some of you there as well.
The challenge over at UK Scrappers this week was:
1. to use the sketch below
2. to use 4 or more scraps of different patterned papers
3. to use something recycled.
Here's the layout I came up with...
I changed the sketch around slightly to work with the direction of my photos but otherwise stuck to it pretty closely. I used my new Mr Hueys hexagon mask to ink the edges and dropped some purple ink spots over the background.
I've got 5 different patterned papers on here and they all started out as scraps.
The recycling element was a little more tricky. First I used up some of the background from a sheet of border stickers. I used that down the left edge of the photo block - it's the scalloped edge and I also used the leftover piece in the little cluster in the top right corner. I wasn't sure this was good enough though to satisfy the recycling element so I also used a strip of transparency cut from the packaging from some Prima flowers - I think that did it.
Thanks for looking xx
Fab LO and great recycled items. Love your hexagon mask/stamping.
