Kit Release: Fleur

Wednesday 8 August 2012

Happy Wednesday Everyone

Wednesday means another kit release. This week Glitz papers are featuring, in particular the French Kiss range. I really love this range, it's really great for vintage style layouts if that is something you are working on, or can also be good for modern, every day layouts:

The kit contains:
2 x Glitz 'French Kiss' patterned papers
2 x coordinating Bazzill cardstock
Glitz Teeny Alpha in Burlap
Sticky pearls

Here is the first layout I made using this kit:

The title hasn't come out very well in the photo but it reads 'The most beautiful girl in the world', which she is. Fact. I wanted to create a layout with lots of white space with a cluster of papers etc in the centre. I stamped various background type stamps onto the background and then started layering my papers and embellishments, all of which have been cut from the papers. I printed the photo in black & white for softness and to remove an offending colour in the background that wouldn't have gone with my layout!

My second layout using this kit is another wedding photo, this time in sepia tones. My wedding album is coming along nicely now and this is a welcome addition. I had quite a lot of papers left over given my minimalistic layout above so I managed to cover quite a lot of the page. I did have to add the background sheet  of kraft card as I didn't have any full sheets left.

That groovy tree is a die cut called 'Swirly Tree' - so cool! I also cut lots of little flowers and leaves from the leftover patterned papers and layered them all up to make this cluster of embellishments.

Kirei's layout this week is really fab - so much going on and I love the multi photos on there, I don't ever seem to get more than two on a page! Check out her blog for more details on how she made it.

This kit can be purchased for just £5.75 - a bargain this week! Get it here.
