This week our kit features some of the fun & funky Prima paper range 'Doodle Deux'. The colours are quite bright and coupled with splashes of black here and there makes the range really cool!

The kit contains:
2 x Doodle Deux patterned papers
2 x coordinating Bazzill cardstock
'Doodle Deux' alphabet stickers
This is my layout:
I took inspiration from the doodles on the paper and doodled a border around my photograph which was very brave of me! I also cut little flags from the patterned papers and put three of those at the top of my photo too.
The strip here which is across the bottom of the layout is one of the manufacturer strips cut off from one of the papers. I loved the doodles on it so it had to be used! I obviously had a lot of journalling to write on this layout so the orange frame created the perfect place for my writing.
I had to add a sheet of cream card to the it in order to make a second layout as I had used parts of both the ones in the kit for the first layout. It worked really well as a background though and the splashes of colour on the edges really bring it all together.
I stamped a few flowers in black and doodled in stems. The flower stamp I had went really well with the style of the papers but if I hadn't have had that stamp I probably would have doodled them in freehand - this would have gone just as well given the style of the papers.
The border on the left edge of the layout is cut with a border punch. I saved all the dots that were punched out from it and stuck them in a line at the top of the layout to form another border - I love it!
Kirei has also used the Lucky Charms paper as her background sheet, like I did in my first layout. She's also made embellishments out of punched flowers and she's added some buttons. Have a look at her blog for more details on how she made it.
