Challenge #7: The Everyday

Saturday 2 August 2014

Moving slightly away from the whole summer theme thing for a moment, Challenge #7 is to scrap something from your Everyday. I find that now I do Project Life I rarely scrap the small stuff anymore, because it goes in my PL and I don't want too many duplications. I used to find that even though many everyday photos might not feel worthy of a full 12x12 layout, some of the ones I've done in the past have actually turned out to be up there with my favourite layouts. I think this is because they are just every day photos and therefore I don't feel pressured into making a special layout to do justice for a special photo.

Carrie has created a stunning sample layout. She says: "I decided to go with a very nautical colour scheme to remind me of summer. I was able to use the Pen Pals collection, that is themed towards letter sending, for this summer page by choosing the more basic embellishments like hearts and stars. Lots of layers adds interest and some twine and paper flowers compliment the picture. I have used my die cutting machine and some gold foil paper to add sparkle to the page. There is hidden journaling on a tag behind the picture.  I am really pleased with the page and it was great fun to make. I hope you all like it too......."

Please share your layouts on Instagram using the hashtag #uks2014summerscrapbookingchallenge and also in the UKS dedicated Gallery.

That's it for today lovelies but we're back again tomorrow with another few challenges yet so don't go away...!

Happy scrapping xx
