Challenge #6: Summer Colours

Saturday 2 August 2014

I went searching for a beautiful summery scene for colour inspiration and instead I came up with...sweets! I first thought they were slices of watermelon, but actually no, they are sweeties. But they are gorgeous summery colours and I adore this colour palette.

Of course I am still scrapping my Peppa Pig photos so anything with pink in it went very well. I loved using the different shades of greens and pinks/reds and even though my shades might not be completely accurate, I love the result.

Sam has created an absolutely gorgeous sample layout. She says:
"A layout using a multitude of different patterned papers is not only ideal for using up all those scraps of papers that we all seem guilty of saving, it enables you to create an ombre effect through a series of colours. Inspired by a colour palette of peaches and greens, the Silhouette heart cut file by Wilna Furstenberg challenged me to find 44 different papers and I can confirm that I did not only rise to, but managed to complete this challenge!"

Please share your layouts on Instagram using the hashtag #uks2014summerscrapbookingchallenge and also in the UKS dedicated Gallery.

Pop back later for one last challenge tonight...

Happy scrapping xx
