Hey
everyone! Welcome to my latest layout for Scrap Academy. We are having a break
from classes over the summer and instead we have Summer Camp! Over the six
weeks of summer we are holding six fun challenges.
We are
kicking off week 3 today and today's challenge is Hopscotch! This week's
challenge is sponsored by Lottie Loves Paper who are a fabulous scrapbooking shop with
lots of wonderful products to purchase.
You can
see the Hopscotch challenge over on the Scrap Academy Facebook Group but
basically print (or draw) the Hopscotch grid, throw a counter then follow the
instructions in the box in which your counter lands. My counter landed on box 5
which is to use 75% white space, agggghhh!
But I
love a challenge and even though leaving 75% white space isn't my usual style I
really enjoyed making this layout - it just goes to show that taking part in a
challenge can sometimes push you out of your comfort zone and you never know,
you might like it!
I started
my layout with a small amount of mixed media and then I added some circle
elements using papers from Dear Lizzy Here and Now. I kept my embellishments
really small and ensured that everything remained close to my small square
photo. I added some Perspextives by Bramble Fox and some sequins by Spiegelmom
Scraps. When working small, try to stick to smaller embellishments such as flat
stickers and puffy stickers or stickers from Sticker Books as they tend to have
small items.
Thanks so
much for joining me today and you can play along with the Summer Camp
Challenges over on the Scrap Academy Facebook Group, and you can view the Process Video below.
And don't
forget to take a look at our fabulous sponsor this week Lottie Loves Paper
Happy
scrapping
