Hi everyone, I have a new layout for Hip Kit Club today. I've used the January 2021 Hip Kits which can be found on the Hip Kit Club website here.
My assignment today was to use the January Main Kit only and to create a starburst design! I love to create starburst designs, they are always such fun!
I started off with a pink background which was in the January Cardstock kit. I took a sheet of rainbow paper and marked a point for my starburst to burst from. I used a pencil and a ruler and drew lines from that point to the edges of the paper and then I cut these with scissors. I trimmed them all down slightly and distressed the edges and then stuck them back into place onto my pink background. I left an area with no shards of the starburst so that there was a large area of pink space. I machine stitched with white thread along all the edges.
I added my photo to the middle of the starburst and added a few embellishments around it: a large chipboard rainbow, wood veneer shapes and some ephemera pieces.
In the large pink area I added my 'you are magical' title which was a piece of ephemera and I also added wood veneer phrases.
I finished off with twiddles of gold thread, some puffy button stickers and splatters of purple paint.
