Hey everyone, I have a new layout and video for Scrap Academy today and this term we are looking at forms of inspiration. Today I'm looking at a moodboard and am creating a layout based on many different elements from that moodboard.
I love moodboard challenges because there are so many elements to a moodboard that you can take inspiration from. Often I make a list. Here is my list for this moodboard:
Autumn
Colours: orange, brown, kraft, white/cream, mustard/gold
Broomsticks (Halloween?)
leaves
Slats/horizontal stripes
Houses
pumpkins
circles
curly tendrils
blanket - warm/cosy/knitted texture
flowers
Candle
Cup of tea
books
chair
acorns
smooth and bumpy textures
Cup of coffee / hot chocolate
cosy jumper
Eat Drink and Be Cozy phrase
That’s a big list!! Throughout this video I explain which parts of the moodboard I took inspiration from - obviously I haven't included all of them and hopefully show you how you can make a moodboard work for you.
I've used my September Hip Kit Club kit for this layout which contains a lot of Maggie Holmes Marigold. I've also added cute critter perspextives by Bramble Fox.
I hope you enjoy this lesson, layout and video.
Happy scrapping
Niki xx
