Hi everyone. Here is a new layout for Hip Kit Club. This is my first time using the June 2021 kits which are packed full of beautiful exclusive products. You can find the June 2021 Hip Kits on the website here: https://www.hipkitclub.net/june-2021.
My
assignment today is to focus on the exclusives within the kits and to include
these items: 6-9 squares cut from Pocket Life cards, bows, vellum butterflies and
fussy cutting.
I started
off with the Pocket Life cards and I pulled out some of my favourites. In
particular a colour scheme of cornflower blue, pink and lilac jumped out and
inspired me so I choose to go with these colours. I cut six 2” squares and
machine stitched around the edges of all.
I arranged
these onto the layout together with some puffy frames from the Pinkfresh Studio
Happy Blooms. I added beautiful foiled vellum butterflies which are an exclusive
in the June Kits keeping their placement ‘colour on colour’. I also added three
fabric bows. I wrapped the middles of the bows with silver thread and left the
ends dangling.
I fussy cut
some flowers from one of the exclusive papers which I added to the pink section
of the layout. I also went through the exclusive ephemera pieces and picked out
a few that worked with this layout.
I added a
polka dot border around the layout using one of the exclusive patterned papers
and machine stitched around it. I finished off with my journaling and big
splatters of black ink.
