Adventure | Bella Blvd | To the Moon & Trinkets Puffies

Monday 12 July 2021

Hey everyone! Here is a new layout for Bella Blvd. I have used the To the Moon collection and have also focused on using the Trinkets, which are puffy stickers in all the Bella Besties colours.

Instead of using the space themed items from the To the Moon collection, I have focussed on the B side prints and make an outdoorsy layout. I choose three papers a blue check, orange arrows and green dot. All are from the To the Moon collection.

I cut my paper into large diagonal shards to create a diagonal star-burst design. This gives my layout a natural focal point for my photo. I’ve got a landscape photo today which is unusual for me. I positioned it towards the bottom of the layout and considered placing it at the same angle as the diagonal lines but actually decided to follow the horizontal lines the arrows in the orange print were following.

I added a few ephemera pieces from the To the Moon collection around my photo and then set about incorporating the Trinkets. I pulled out four sets to match my papers: Ice & Gulf, Blueberry, orange, and Pickle Juice & Guacamole. I love the Trinkets because they contain lots of different shapes: hearts, flowers, stars, and arrows! I wanted to use the arrows because of the arrow print paper. So I started layering them onto the coloured areas of the layout. I didn’t have enough arrows to fill all the spaces, so filled in with some stars also from the Trinkets packs. For the orange section I just added a few orange arrow Trinkets layered over the white arrows on the paper. I added white machine stitching to the edges of the diagonal shards of patterned paper.

I added some border stickers from the To the Moon Stickers, a few punched stars from Bella Besties paper and an acrylic title ‘adventure’.

I finished off with some splatters of Shimmerz Paint in blue and green and handwrote in a few lines of journaling.

Thank you so much for joining me today and happy scrapping
