I have a new layout to share today for Hip Kit Club. I’m using the April 2021
Kits which you can find on the Hip Kit Club website here: https://www.hipkitclub.net/april-2021. I’m also playing along with Challenge Friday
and this week’s challenge is a Recipe Challenge: rainbows, flowers, stitching
and chipboard. The DT members also had additional challenges of using a white
background and to have a Summer theme.
I’ve used a
white background but included a large area of patterned paper, one of the
Maggie Holmes Garden Party papers. I cut it into six squares and positioned
these onto my white background in a grid fashion. I machine stitched around
each one.
I
positioned my photo on a cross point of the grid and then added lots of
embellishments around my photo: chipboards, stickers and ephemera. I managed to
tick off two things on the recipe list by using chipboard flowers 😊 I did include quite a lot of flowers and lots
and lots of chipboard on this layout!
I created a
cluster at the bottom of the layout that included a rainbow – so that box on
the recipe list is ticked too. I think that’s all of them!
I finished
with a few lines of journaling and some white paint splatters.
