To celebrate National Scrapbook Day 2021, the Lottie Loves
Paper Design Team and some special guests have all created a layout from the
same sketch. This is a YouTube hop around all our channels with videos of the
layout process and see how each scrapbooker interpreted the sketch and made
their layout.
For my layout I have used Simple Stories Bunnies &
Blooms. I absolutely adored the NSD sketch and it worked so very well with the
journaling cards from the Bunnies & Blooms collection. I started off by
using the gorgeous green gingham paper for my background. I trimmed it down and
stuck it to a piece of white card. I then machine stitched in white through the
white lines on the gingham print. This added lots of extra texture and interest
to my background. It doesn’t show up too well on the photos but it looks
awesome in real life!
I mounted each one of the photos and journaling cards either
onto white card or onto more patterned paper. I also machine stitched around
each one, including my photos. I cut two tags and machine stitched around those
too and arranged all these pieces onto the layout as per the sketch. I added
pom pom trim to two of the cards for extra cuteness!
I then started to add embellishments. I used chipboard,
stickers from the sticker sheet and foam stickers. I added a banner sticker to
the top of the layout that said Easter and the word Love from the foam stickers
to the middle of the layout, creating the title ‘Easter Love’.
I finished off by adding adhesive Decorative Brads and I
handwrote my journaling around the arch of the rainbow on the bottom middle
journaling card. This layout is so adorable and so perfect for documenting
Easter memories and I love how it turned out! Enjoy the rest of the hop and happy
scrapping. Here are the rest of the Hop details:
There is a prize for one lucky person who completes the hop.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave a kind comment on ALL the
videos in the hop by 8th May 2021. To be an eligible entry, comments
must be specific to the video or layout and not simply the same comment left on
them all. The winner will be announced in the Lottie Loves Paper Facebook group
soon after the closing date.
There is also another chance to win a prize by creating your own layout based on the sketch and entering it into the relevant album in the Lottie Loves Paper Facebook group: Lottie Loves Paper Community.
