Hey everyone! At GoGo Getaway Retreats, the Design Team each
set a challenge to inspire our delegates. The challenge I set at October 2022
was a moodboard challenge.
The moodboard was mostly shades of greens and browns,
features the phrase ‘Hakuna Matata’ and has a jungle or safari feel to it. I
decided to use the Into the Wild collection by Simple Stories to scrap photos
of my little boy being a zookeeper in a school performance.
I used a very busy patterned paper around the top of the
layout featuring lots of animals. I then added to this with more ephemera
animals, leaves and flowers. I also added a compass which featured on the
moodboard, and even managed to add a small label sticker saying ‘Hakuna Matata’!
I cut out my photos and added them to the middle of the
layout with my title that I made from a mixture of alphabet stickers and word
ephemera!
I finished off with splatters of white paint and lots of
pretty sequins!
