Well aren’t we being spoiled with all the new Say Cheese collections! For this layout I have used the Say Cheese Magic collection.
I had a photo of me with Mrs Incredible…now
all mums are superheroes and I’m a mum, so I fully identify with Mrs
Incredible! I decided it would be fun to re-create the Incredibles logo in Say
Cheese papers! I started by printing a picture of the logo onto letter paper,
and then I used this as a template to draw around and create the elements from
different patterned papers. I added a sheet of Color Vibe paper in Tomato for
the red outline, then used the black Say Cheese Magic paper for the middle, and
a yellow gingham for the ‘i’ from the 6x8 Paper Pad.
Once the logo was assembled, I added hand stitching in
coordinating colours around the outlines. I added a ‘glow’ of red ink behind
where the logo would sit on my layout and then stuck it in place, raised up on
foam pads! I love how it turned out!
I then added my photo and picked out embellishments in reds,
yellows and blacks. Because the logo was so big I wanted to keep my
embellishments fairly minimal so I just created two small clusters: one next to
the photo and the other at the bottom left corner. I used a mixture of
Chipboard Stickers, Bits & Pieces and Foam Stickers.
To create my title I used an Elastigirl quote from the
movie: ‘leave the saving of the world to men?’ ‘I don’t think so’. I made this
by printing the first part of the quote in a typewriter font just on my normal
printer. The second part I made with the alpha stickers from the Say Cheese
Magic Sticker Book, which I stuck onto strips, then cut into words. I could
then position them easily and also raise them up on foam pads.
I finished off with Decorative Brads, and a few splatters of
black paint. I also wrote my journaling around the edge of the logo.
This was such a fun layout to make!
Happy scrapping
