Hey everyone, here is a new layout for Simple Stories using
the gorgeous The Holiday Life Collection. I’ve really enjoyed using this
collection, it contains quite traditional Christmas colours and it full of cute
florals and icons, such as houses, that are just adorable!
I really loved the paper with all the houses I cut it into
strips and mounted those strips onto a piece of solid red paper from the same
collection. I then cut this out and made a feature of it for a large part of
the background of my layout.
I added my title to the top of the feature paper, it’s from
the Page Pieces pack. I created a cluster around the title, cascading down onto
the houses. I’ve used a mixture of Bits & Pieces, Cardstock Stickers and
Floral Bits.
My photo is a portrait photo of my front door and my
gorgeous Christmas Wreath that I made (with the aid of a wonderful kit). I
mounted this onto green patterned paper from the collection, and I offset it
with a couple of journaling cards. I created a cluster here too, again using a
mixture of embellishments such as Bits & Pieces, Floral Bits, Cardstock
Stickers and Decorative Brads.
I finished off by hand writing my journaling and adding
splatters of black paint.
