Happy holidays everyone! This layout is my second layout
using the gorgeous The Holiday Life collection by Simple Stories.
For this layout I decided to make some giant tags! I chose a
few of the patterned papers and cut the into tag shapes: three large ones in
varying sizes. I also cut two little tags from the Tags paper.
I stitched around each of my tags using my sewing machine
and also tied each one through with ribbons. I then arranged them onto a white
background and worked out where my photo was going to go! I then started to
build my clusters of embellishments. I used the rub ons to add gorgeous floral
details to a few areas of the layouts. The rub-ons were a pleasure to use,
really easy to position and transfer.
I added a few house embellishments over on the left side of
the layout and lots of other smaller embellishments, from a mixture of the Bits
& Pieces, Floral Bits and Cardstock Stickers. I also added a few Decorative
Brads.
I added a few phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers,
which I distressed the edges of and raised up on foam pads. I find this was
that they show up really well against a patterned paper.
I finished off with some journaling and splatters of black
paint. I love how this one turned out, those oversized tags are so fun!
