Hey everyone, I’m playing along with the For the Love of Pretty
Paper September Sketch today. I’ve made a school themed layout, because it’s
September! Plus I have school photos to scrap.
I’ve been stashbusting a slightly older collection called
School Life by Simple Stories. I adapted the sketch to suit my photo which was
a 7x5 landscape photo instead of the two smaller portrait photos represented on
the sketch.
I used a yellow background and used a big strip of patterned
paper across the layout. I could never
use a big bold patterned paper like this as a background, but I loved all those
colourful letters, so it was great to use a large strip of it in this way.
I added clusters around the photo and turned the photo into
a pocket to hold my journaling. I also added some stencilling (stencil by
Bramble Fox) as I thought the yellow background looked a bit plain and needed a
little something extra!
I enjoyed using this sketch and I hope it will inspire you
to make something today!
